$POET Technologies Inc(POET)$ Anyone else notice the hundreds of billions in semiconductor and photonics deals signed over the weekend? Also, the war is on hold again. Massive capex spending increases coming this week through earnings releases. GOOGL already showed theirs.
$Alphabet(GOOGL)$ What's the hyper liquid price right now? I think we could see runs back to the high 320s and mid 330s by the end of the week, as long as the peace talks keep moving forward.
So $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ raises CapEx and warns they'll spend even more next year, and somehow $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ still goes down. Feels like the market is getting played here.
$Alphabet(GOOGL)$ Some of these analyst downgrades make it sound like they'd have been bearish on factory construction right at the start of the Industrial Revolution. Still not worried.
$Microsoft(MSFT)$ If Google is willing to ramp up capital expenditures to a point where it pressures free cash flow, it makes you wonder what Meta and Microsoft might do in the near term. The AI arms race is nowhere near finished. Hyperscalers are competing for leadership, which means sustained spending on data centers, GPUs, networking, memory, storage, and power. The key question isn't necessarily who spends the most, but where that capital is ultimately directed. That money is flowing into the companies building the foundational layer for AI: GPUs and accelerators, high-bandwidth memory, AI networking, data center and cloud infrastructure, and power and cooling solutions. From my perspective,
$Amazon.com(AMZN)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ $Microsoft(MSFT)$ $Oracle(ORCL)$ The main thing to watch in the hyperscalers' Q2 earnings will be their profit margins. The market is really focused on whether their massive capex spending will erode margins, and that's largely why their stock prices have been range-bound. The companies that can show they're maintaining or even improving their profit margins during this AI investment cycle will likely see a positive reaction. Here's a look at the net profit
$Microsoft(MSFT)$ People were concerned about $Oracle(ORCL)$ 's earnings, but if you look at the last six quarters, there have been big spikes. The big tech companies are global enterprises. Their debt load is almost nothing compared to their cash flow. The same goes for MSFT.
