The reason why Tesla cannot go with battery swapping is because NIO has secured their IPs intellectual properties with the patent office first. Elon does not want to pay royalties to NIO. The power of NIO is enormous and is substantially under-appreciated compared to Tesla. NIO has NUMI artificial intelligence assistant. Tesla while more expensive does not provide any in-car AI assistant. Also, look at NIO's EP9 supercar, it still holds the World's fastest lap time till today!! NIO's quality is same as German cars versus Tesla has just gotten the lowest rating of all new premium cars from JD Power. NIO will be producing 500,000 EVs by 2025-26 and will enter USA and Germany markets by then. Today is 07-11-2020 July 11, 2020. Mark my words, it will be a 200 billions - 250 billions USD market
