The $18 million figure could totally be seen as an investment in that tourism buzz. If the government is shelling out so much for the concert, they're clearly betting on her star power to pull in some major tourist dollars. I think it’s definitely working since her tickets are in high demand right now and everyone is waiting to snag a ticket. Definitely going for her concert if I’m being given free tickets though. Her concert looks epic and it would be a good opportunity to find out whether the cash laid out by the government is really worth it. 😎 💰
