The 1st book which inspired me in investing is 'One Up on Wall Street' by Peter Lynch. That was the starting point for me to becoming more structured & organized as an investor.  I gained confidence in being the little guy/gal vs the giants (Institutions, Fund Managers.. etc) as we have the ability to spot trends by being observant in our daily lives & are much more nimble than the 'giants'.  Learning to categorize the stocks enables me to realize the difference in strategies to adopt and the timing to buy / sell / hold for each. Some points, using Co-Pilot to summarise is as per attached.

If you are losing sleep due to falling prices, ask yourself this, 1. What's the cause? Is it broad market bearishness or specific to your stock.  If broad market, what's the reason? War, Inflation, COVID,... ? Will this affect your stock as a going concern? It's profitability? Short term? Long term? If it's specific to your stock, what's the reason? Competition? Mismanagement? Industry wide? Technological shifts? 2. Will you buy more since it's now "cheaper"? If not, should you sell? Knowing yourself (temperament, risk adversity,..) & knowing your stocks (business, competition, direction,...) helps a lot in mitigating & overcoming the cause of losing sleep. Decide, Create & follow & tweak your own set of rules to buy, sell, hold based on Valuations  (for FA f

      What's the IV for BRK.B?

$Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$ Background ° In a previous post, I estimated the IV (Intrinsic Value) of BRK.B to be 1.3 * NBV after comparing past Shares BuyBack data. ° However, from their latest Q221 Financial Report, the highest Average Price Paid for their Shares BuyBack in Q121 was $286.10 (for May). What Does that Mean? ° For Q121, using my computed NAV = $199.34 & my previously estimated 1.3 * NBV, I'd projected Max Shares Buyback Price = $259.14. ° With this latest data of $286.10, this means the formula could be around 1.435 * NBV instead !! What's Next ? ° From the latest Q221 Financial Report, I have computed NBV = $211.22. ° At 1.3 * NBV, my estimated Shares Buyback Max Limit = $274.58. ° At 1.435 * NBV, my estimated Sha
