Bank of England Governor says inflation will not last; European stocks closed higher across the board on Friday.

European stocks continued their sharp rebound on Friday (May 14) as investor concerns about inflation slowed as the decline in commodity prices, following a sell-off at the start of trading this week.

3. With the reopening of US oil pipelines, both US and Brent crude oil prices surged by more than 2%! Big short Schiff: US inflation will \"explode\" and the dollar is losing its purchasing power.

According to renowned investor and financial commentator Peter Schiff, the Federal Reserve will not fight inflation in the United States. This is because even if they tried to fight, they were destined to fail, so they wouldn't even try. For this reason, I have been telling everyone that there will be no war on inflation. The Fed is now ready to surrender. Inflation will undoubtedly win big. In fact, the future inflation problem will be much more dire than the market expects. Gates is enviable, and Steve Jobs is often remembered. Today, let's take a look at Bill Gates' divorce case and learn about the rumors surrounding him and his impact on the history of technology.

I. Bill Gates, the Smart Man

If there was one word to describe Bill Gates, it would be smart.

Because of Jack Ma, the lakeside is widely known. In the United States, there is also a lakeside, Lakeside High School, a private high school next to Lake Washington in Seattle, where Gates attended. Gates is naturally shy and not good at talking to people, but he has a superhuman talent for computers: Gates wrote the seating arrangement software at Lakeside Middle School. As a result, Gates is always surrounded by the girls he likes during class, and he is often the only one in the class to enjoy this treatment. Gates' talent was also discovered by a commercial company, which asked him to help pick out bugs. Gates was so good that he quickly caused the commercial company to lose the DEC order because he discovered hundreds of bugs in a short period of time, and the printed list was three hundred pages thick. Gates was one of the teenage hackers. At the time, the CDC had built a national computer network, Cybernet, which the CDC claimed was extremely secure. Gates then used a terminal at Waddington University to hack into the system at the time. He was later caught by the CDC and had to be asked to leave the computer for a year.

To add to that, Gates was able to freely roam the University of Washington largely because he knew another young computer hacker who was two years older than him, Paul Allen, a student of the University of Washington library and his lakeside senior. Later, the two of them founded Microsoft together.

Despite demonstrating superhuman talent in computer science, Bill Gates did not choose to study computer science at university because of his lawyer father. Instead, he chose to study law at Harvard University. Out of a maximum admission score of 1600, Bill Gates scored 1590. Allen got a perfect score on the SAT, but he chose to enter the University of Washington in his hometown. Allen is also a smart person.

Gates' ex-wife, Melinda, is also a smart person. Her father was a contract engineer for NASA, and the family had a strong academic atmosphere. When Melinda was in her senior year of high school, her math teacher equipped the school with several Apple IIs. She went to university to study programming at night and taught programming to students at school during the day. Melinda wrote some basic small programs, which is the source of her interest in computers.

A few years later, Melinda earned a double bachelor's degree in computer science and economics from Duke University, then joined Microsoft and pursued an MBA at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. She was the only woman in this MBA class. Melinda is very smart. When she first started dating Bill Gates, they played math games together, but Gates could never beat her. The first time she played \"Clues\" (an American version of a murder mystery game), Melinda won big. This may be the beginning of Gates falling in love.

Bill Gates is always attracted to smart people, and his ex-girlfriend Wimbledon is also a smart person.

Wimbride was born on November 1, 1950, five years older than Gates. He completed his education by working as a cocktail bar waiter, earning a bachelor's degree in mathematics and business administration from St. Catherine's University and a master's degree in education from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Wimbride's first job was as a programmer at the Federal Reserve. Thirteen months later, she left the Fed with three colleagues to found an accounting software company called Open Systems. The company initially invested $5 million and was sold six years later for $15 million.

She was also a pioneer of early venture capital in the United States. Zhang Yuzhou, an old friend of the Zuolin Youli channel and a veteran in the industry, wrote the following story on his WeChat public account \"Afterwards Settling Accounts\": At a venture capitalist event in the 1980s, Wimbride was one of the few women present. In the double room assigned to her by the organizers, the other person was a female performance \"artist\" on stage, who was actually a stripper. This shows how scarce the number of female venture capitalists was in the early days.

Wimbledon and Bill Gates met at the Ben Rosen-Esther Dyson computer conference in 1984 and dated and lived together for three years. After their breakup, Wimbridge's career took off, and she co-founded Hammer-Wimbrid Investments with former NBA star John Hammer.

There are rumors that the breakup between Gates and Wimbledon was prevented by Gates' mother because Wimbledon was too old to get married. However, Wimbledon has publicly stated that Mary Gates gave her excellent advice when she was a young venture capitalist, and that Wimbledon received a handwritten thank-you note every time he saw Mary.

As for whether Wimbledon has withdrawn from Gates' emotional world, that remains an unsolved mystery. Wimbledon was involved in Melinda and Gates' marriage. They had a private agreement before their marriage that Gates would spend a week's vacation with Wimbledon every year, and Melinda was not allowed to interfere. Gates and Wimbledon did indeed vacation at their beach cabin on the Bund in North Carolina every year. Gates said that although he spends some time with Wimbledon every year, the two only talk about computer problems together. The clever Bill Gates enjoys the blessings of having everyone in his own way.

Rumor has it that Wimbride once clashed with Melinda over her involvement in the Gates Foundation. To Melinda's surprise, her husband stood firmly on Wimbride's side. That time, Melinda finally couldn't take it anymore, lost control of her emotions, and yelled at Bill Gates: Am I not tolerant enough?

What the Zuo Lin You Li Channel really wants to know is whether Gates and Melinda's three children knew about Wimbridge's existence before. After today, they will definitely all know. What about before? However, their youngest daughter is already 18 years old, old enough to face everything in the world, both good and ugly.

Gates' ability to become the world's richest person is closely linked to the mother of his former national bank president's daughter. Numerous reports suggest that Gates' mother, who was on the board of directors of IBM, persuaded IBM to give Microsoft its first order for an operating system, and thus Microsoft began its journey. Actually, this statement is half right. Gates' mother, Mary Gates, is not on the board of IBM, but on the board of the University of Washington. The University of Washington is ranked among the top 20 universities in the United States, not because it is named in Washington, D.C., but because it is located in Seattle, Washington.

Seattle is located on the west coast of the United States, bordering Puget Sound and surrounding Lake Washington. Looking west of Seattle, the snow-capped Olympic Mountains are clearly visible, while in the distance to the east are continuous snow-capped mountains. In the southeast, Mount Rainier never melts. The air is fresh, the flowers and trees are lush, and the scenery is pleasant all year round. Many newly wealthy Chinese high-tech companies have established land here. For example, Xing Shanhu, Zhang Yunfan, and so-and-so.

If we had to nitpick, it would be that compared to the sunny San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle has slightly more rainy days. This is why the buildings in Microsoft's Redmond campus are scattered but have some underlying pattern: to ensure that every programmer's office has a large floor-to-ceiling window to maximize natural light and better enjoy every sunny day.

Half of the above statement is that the most important order that made Microsoft successful did indeed come from IBM, thanks to Mary Gates' personal connections. Mary was also the first female chair of the board of directors of the National United Roads Charitable Foundation (Gates has a family history of philanthropy), which also included John Opel, then chairman of IBM. During his tenure, John launched the first PC, the IBM 5150, and was looking for a company to help them write an operating system. Mary strongly recommended her son's company to John. Interestingly, when she learned that IBM needed an operating system instead of general-purpose software that Bill Gates and Allen could make, Bill Gates readily agreed that he could do it, which stunned Allen.

IBM only gave him about half a year, which Gates did to create a difficult problem for him and Allen, and he himself was forced into immense pain.

The good news was that Allen learned that a programmer named Patterson from Seattle Computer Products had spent four years writing the 86-DOS system. The two of them went to visit Patterson and bought the full copyright to the product from Seattle Computer for $50,000, without revealing its purpose.

After receiving the system, Gates told his mother that he might not see him for the next six months. Then he led his team to work frantically overtime, transforming the 86-DOS system into an MS-DOS system compatible with IBM computers within six months. In March of the following year, the DOS system passed acceptance, making Microsoft the sole manufacturer of IBM's operating system.

Moreover, Bill Gates was cunning and signed a non-exclusive licensing agreement with IBM. Ultimately, Microsoft's operating system became the desktop operating system for IBM computers and almost all PCs. Bill Gates is smart enough.

II. Steve Jobs, the disruptor

Bill Gates was born in 1955. According to the book \"Outliers,\" Americans born in 1955 have a higher probability of success than other years. People born in this year caught the wave of the computer revolution at the age of 20 and enjoyed the first rays of dawn. Also born in this year were former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Sun's two founders, Andy Bertolsheim and Vinod Khosla, and Steve Jobs.

Microsoft and Apple, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, for a long time, these two companies and these two people were the undisputed giants of the American and even global information industry.

If Bill Gates is a super smart person who grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth, then Steve Jobs, who was raised by his adoptive parents, is a typical grassroots genius. To compare these two people, to use a football analogy, Bill Gates is Cristiano Ronaldo, while Jobs is Messi.

According to the Zuo Lin You Li channel, if Steve Jobs hadn't pursued excellence, there would be no Microsoft.

As is well known, Wozniak saw a cowherd who could run Basic at a homebrew club and decided to assemble his own personal computer. He and Steve Jobs quickly co-founded Apple in April 1976 in Jobs' garage. At the first West Coast Computer Trade Show in 1977, Apple launched the Apple II, a landmark model in the history of personal computers, which was a great success. Four years later, in 1980, Apple went public and became a super rich man of that era.

It can be said that IBM's personal computer project was partly stimulated by the Apple II, which led to Microsoft's comeback story.

At this time, Microsoft not only developed software for IBM, but also worked for Apple. In 1982, Apple's annual sales revenue was already $1 billion, while Microsoft's was only $32 million, a significant difference. The turning point came in 1983.

Because Steve Jobs, striving for excellence, delayed the release of Apple's McKinsh computer by a full year in January 1983, Microsoft was able to quickly switch to providing IBM with a graphical interface operating system after its partnership with Apple ended in November 1983, thus tipping the balance between Apple and IBM in IBM's favor.

IBM and Apple are fighting a battle between the snipe and the clam, while Microsoft benefits, though it's no smarter than Bill Gates.

Even with a brilliant move like paying homage to 1984, Jobs couldn't salvage Apple's defeat in the face of IBM's powerful offensive.

At the same time, Microsoft entered a period of rapid growth.

Correspondingly, Steve Jobs was ousted from Apple in 1985, and Microsoft went public a year later in 1986.

By the time Jobs launched the first iPhone in 2006, Bill Gates had announced his retirement. Together, the two led and ultimately ended the entire PC (Internet) era in their own way.

The two also had many interactions. For example, Jobs long insisted that Microsoft copied Apple's ideas for graphical interface systems, and Apple had been filing lawsuits against Microsoft since the 1980s. Jobs' second company, NeXT, failed because it failed to reach an agreement with Gates and did not receive software support developed by Microsoft. After returning to Apple, Jobs used Apple's right to waive lawsuits to obtain Microsoft's support for Apple's Macintosh computers, and also asked Gates to purchase $150 million in non-voting Apple stock as support.

Whether Jobs or Gates made a greater contribution to the information industry is a matter of opinion, but when it comes to the groundbreaking influence of the industry, there is no doubt that Jobs had a greater impact. Wozniak designed the extraordinary circuit board and related operating software for the Apple II, which Jobs integrated into a perfect personal computer. The Apple II revolutionized the entire industry, ushering in the home era for computers.

Founding NeXT and acquiring the graphics team (later renamed Pixar), Steve Jobs originally intended to make a big splash in computer 3D graphics technology, but inadvertently brought about a great revolution in the use of 3D computer graphics in film production, injecting new vitality into the animation industry. Steve Jobs wasn't exactly the mastermind behind 3D animated feature films; this disruptive innovation only earned him half a point.

Steve Jobs, returning to Apple, truly reached a new crossroads where he could make a significant impact. His exceptional imagination, unparalleled marketing skills, and extraordinary leadership combined to create an Apple whirlwind around the world. After selling 20 million Macintosh computers, Apple launched the iTunes Music Store and the iPod digital music player, reversing the trend of piracy in the music industry through an excellent user experience. Until 2006, Jobs launched his most acclaimed work, the iPhone, which brought multi-touch screens and virtual keyboards to the masses, creating a powerful computing device, an online client terminal, and an enhanced version of the iPod. The iPhone elevated Steve Jobs to a pedestal; it's no exaggeration to say that Jobs single-handedly ushered in the era of the mobile internet.

III. The Super Mansions of Tech Leaders

One of the study abroad programs in Silicon Valley is always a visit to Steve Jobs' birthplace, especially during the National Day holiday, which coincides with the anniversary of Jobs' death (October 4th). Jobs' birthplace is located at 2066 Crist Drive in Los Angeles, where Jobs lived from the age of 14. Jobs' adoptive mother still lives there. On October 28, 2013, the house was designated a historical site by the city council. The chairman of the city council is said to be the wife of one of the founders of Google. The advantage of choosing her as chairman is that someone will always step forward when there are gaps in municipal construction or when public welfare projects are promoted.

However, visiting Jobs' Paloalto house on Halloween would be the right solution. The tradition of lavish Halloween celebrations in Silicon Valley began with Steve Jobs. It is said that Jobs himself would hide behind the scarecrows, pumpkins, skeletons, and spider webs he visited at his home and suddenly pop out to startle the children who came to ask for candy.

Steve Jobs' house is located on Waverley street in paloalto, which is one of the upscale neighborhoods in Silicon Valley. Larry Page, the founder of Google, lives at 100 on the same street. It's a small world. This area is also home to a female intermediary with close ties to the Chinese internet industry, the sister of Martin, a BAT (Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent) executive.

Witnesses said that Jobs could often be seen tending to the garden barefoot, wearing a turtleneck and black sweater.

Before moving to Palo Alto in the mid-1990s, Jobs lived in a century-old Latin-style house in woodside for about a decade, until his wife, Lauren Powell, became pregnant. Jobs loved woodside; he owned more than one house here. Public records show that Powell Jobs owned two properties in woodside, valued at $7.5 million and $10 million respectively. Woodside, as its name suggests, is located on the edge of the woods and separated from Silicon Valley by only a dune street. Jobs' neighbor in Woodside was Oracle boss Erickson. There's a joke about 1986, the year Jobs was depressed after being fired from Apple. One day, Erickson was sleeping in his Woodside home when a peacock broke into the yard and woke him up. Erickson learned that the peacock was raised by his neighbor Jobs, so he ran over and complained. Jobs said, \"Ha, you don't like this bird either.\" The peacock was a gift from my girlfriend, and I need to find a way to get rid of it. The two laughed heartily, became friends, and often went for walks together. Both Steve Jobs and Erickson were fond of Japanese Zen Buddhism. Erickson's luxurious Japanese-style mansion cost a whopping $200 million and has always been a top tech mansion in Silicon Valley and around the world. Erickson's house in Atherton also has Japanese-style gardens.

Wei Zhe and Ding Lei also have large houses by the forest, which suits their style quite well. The presence of Chinese tech tycoons in Silicon Valley is an interesting topic; we'll discuss it again later.

There are reports that Jobs also lived in Cupertino, but this is not true. Jobs attended high school in Cupertino, which is why they moved from Mountain View to a place south of losalto near Cupertino. Steve Jobs' last work is a popular landmark in Silicon Valley today—Apple's spaceship headquarters is within walking distance of Jobs' high school.

Gates' Seattle mansion, Shangri-La 2.0, is also a masterpiece. The mansion is located on the Medina Peninsula on the eastern shore of Lake Washington, a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides. Its neighbors are Bezos and a group of Microsoft executives. The Medina Peninsula is home to the smallest city in the United States and the most beautiful female police patrol team in the country. It is said to be specially designed for the island's top billionaires. The reason why the female police officers are required to be beautiful is because they are afraid of scaring children during patrols.

It seems to be common for executives of super-large companies to live next door to each other. In Silicon Valley, Jack Ma also bought houses there because Masayoshi Son and Jerry Yang owned houses there. Because of Jack Ma, a group of Alibaba executives also bought houses in losalto hill next to Jack Ma's father. As one Alibaba executive aptly put it, living next to the boss and visiting from time to time gives you poor information and resources that are much more valuable than houses. Moreover, the US dollars that Alibaba cashed out after its IPO will not be returned, making buying a house a good investment option.

Portefino, a top luxury residential area in Shenzhen, has also stood out because of the residence of another Jack Ma, which has attracted a large number of Tencent executives. Both are built by the lake, both offer tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle, and both are peaceful and tranquil. It is precisely birds of a feather flock together and people live together.

Back to Gates' mansion, Shangri-La 2.0, which covers 66,000 square acres, half of the hill was dug up during construction. Gates spent $97 million on it, and the reception hall alone is 214 square meters. The pets are also unusual; the house houses an endangered protected whale shark.

The mansion houses a domed private library with a skylight in the middle of the roof that lets in natural light. It houses some of Bill Gates' heirloom treasures and masterpieces, including the script manuscript for Hitchcock's film \"Terror\" and Napoleon's love letter to Josephine, as well as Leonardo da Vinci's \"Leicester Manuscript,\" which contains prophetic scientific theories, which he bought from Christie's in 1994 for $20.8 million. Bill Gates made the manuscript into a VCD and made a fortune at $50 each. No one is smarter than Gates.

Bill Gates' house is open to visitors, costing $35,000 each time. Although it is expensive, many people still flock to it.

The most notable feature of this mansion is that it has hosted many celebrities. When President Hu visited the United States in 2006, he visited Microsoft headquarters during the day and attended a dinner hosted by Gates' home that evening. It was at this dinner that the famous Q&A session between Bill Gates and Hu Jintao on the topic of piracy, which later left Chinese domestic software companies sighing, took place.

The obvious fact after this dinner was that Microsoft had won a $1.2 billion contract from Lenovo, and from then on, Lenovo computers would have to pre-install genuine Windows. The implicit fact is that the Chinese government's software procurement plan has thus shifted, and the newly emerging plan to replace domestically produced office software has been shelved. Not to mention the depth of local operating systems, Bill Gates' dinner has changed the course of China's information industry for at least a decade.

The person most injured at the banquet was an elderly man named Ni Guangnan, while Mrlu, a stakeholder at the banquet, rose to prominence. But ten years later, in 2015, when another national leader visited Seattle, the same scene did not occur. On the contrary, the mindset and fate of the two old men from ten years ago were reversed. Interested readers can discuss this story on our Knowledge Planet.

IV. Gates and Jobs' Chinese Disciples

Bill Gates' feud with China goes far beyond this. Tsinghua University and Peking University, two of China's top universities, also engaged in a war of words over Bill Gates. The protagonist of the war of words was Microsoft's China Research Institute (later upgraded to Research Asia), established in 1998. The debate was about whether Peking University or Tsinghua University made this the most successful research institute in the history of Chinese science and technology.

Supporters of Peking University believe that Bill Gates only visited Peking University during his first visit to China in 1994, a three-day trip. However, Tsinghua supporters believe that on the eve of Christmas 1997, Bill Gates visited China again. This time, he visited Tsinghua, another prestigious university in China, and gave a speech at Tsinghua. According to Yang Shiqiang, the former Party Secretary of the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University, the student who asked Bill Gates the question at that time was Li Ling, who enrolled in the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua in 1994. He was called an idol senior by Wang Xiaochuan and a recipient of a series of honors such as Tsinghua's student league branch secretary, grand prize winner, chairman of the department's science and technology association, and first place winner in the Global Mathematical Modeling Competition.

According to Tsinghua University, Bill Gates was also encouraged by the enthusiasm of Tsinghua students. Upon returning home, he changed his previous plan to go to India and established the Microsoft China Research Institute in Beijing the following year. This is not wrong, but it could also be the seeds sown during his trip to Peking University. Who knows? In any case, for Bill Gates, whether it's Peking University students or Tsinghua University students, they are all dishes on Microsoft's plate.

Because of writing \"A Brief History of Artificial Intelligence in China,\" we came into contact with three figures of Microsoft Research Asia members, all of whom are very grateful to Bill Gates.

Jobs never visited China, but that doesn't stop him from having many disciples there. Half of the owners of Chinese domestic mobile phone manufacturers compare themselves to Steve Jobs. Lei Jun of Xiaomi is even jokingly called Lei Jobs. Zhou Hongyi, who has always been obsessed with mobile phones, has discussed the similarities and differences between himself and Steve Jobs with us more than once. Although Huang Zhang of Meizu and Luo Yonghao of Smartisan did not have the same fate as Steve Jobs, they also contracted Jobs' illness. In the smart hardware industry, there are also many super fans of Steve Jobs, including Zhou Jian of UBTECH, Huang Wang of Huami, and his former colleague Wang Wei of Tuman. In fact, Wang Tao of DJI is also a follower of Jobs, but Wang Tao is at least half a disciple of Jobs. When Moritz, a global partner at Sequoia Capital, saw the DJI drone, he exclaimed that it was as impressive as when he saw the McKinsh computer. As a result, Moritz personally came to China to meet Wang Tao and expressed his intention to invest in DJI. Sequoia Capital was an investor in Apple, and Moritz had many interactions with Steve Jobs, even writing books for him. He was considered a close associate of Jobs.

If we extend the scope beyond mobile phones and smart hardware, we know that Steve Jobs' Chinese disciples include Yang Xiangji of Tap4fun and Nie Yunchen of Heytea.

Tap4fun is the developer of the mobile game \"Galactic Empire,\" which is known for surpassing \"Angry Birds\" to become the number one revenue chart on the App Store in the United States in 2013. Founder Yang Xiangji said his entrepreneurial journey stemmed from a quote from Steve Jobs when the iPhone was launched: \"The iPhone is everything to everyone.\"

The company's product and marketing strategy also aligns with Apple's. For example, their dream of making \"Insanely great Games\" is based on Steve Jobs' famous quote \"Keep putting great products,\" and they only make iOS Games, focusing on overseas markets. Huge black-and-white photos of five people hung outside the Tap4fun office door: Martin Luther King Jr., John Lennon, Einstein, and Muhammad Ali on either side, with Steve Jobs in the center.

Nie Yunchen, the founder of Heytea, always takes Steve Jobs as his role model. He was a loyal Apple fan during his school years. Before the iPad was released and entered China, some media outlets were going to hold an \"iPad Rafting Event\" to invite readers to try out the iPads they bought from overseas. Nie Yunchen was one of the first to go. He also spent some time as a technology editor, covering a wide variety of Apple products. From the very beginning, Heytea has always prioritized products, using real milk and real tea as raw materials. Now, in order to pursue the taste of the tea base, it wants to build its own tea garden and cultivate new tea trees.

Nie Yunchen followed Steve Jobs' product-first principle, and also followed Jobs' autocratic management practices. Heytea's rapid expansion in the past two years has put considerable pressure on operational process management. In order to introduce new professional managers, Nie Yunchen decisively fired several VP-level executives in charge of business and support departments. They were also long-time employees who had followed the startup from the very beginning. Here's a recommendation of our article studying Heytea cases. We welcome all neighbors to read and offer their guidance.

Let me tell you a story about Steve Jobs' disciples. The two protagonists of the story are also the big shots mentioned in the disciples paragraph above. To avoid being confusing, they are called pronouns. One year, a house appeared in front of Steve Jobs' house (some said it was vacant land). The temptation to be Jobs' neighbor was quite strong, but the house was not cheap, asking for $10 million. Y's wife took a liking to it and discussed with Y online how to quote it. Y said, \"Let's quote $9 million.\" First, he had checked, and there were hardly any people in the United States who would buy a house of this caliber. Second, he couldn't live in the house for more than a few days. So Wife Y offered $900, but the agent said, \"Sorry, the house was bought by another Chinese person who raised the price.\" When Wife Y asked, she learned that it was her husband's lifelong enemy, L, who bought it. The reason L paid more to buy it wasn't because of L, but because he felt that it was a good thing and a little more expensive wouldn't hurt. It's hard to tell if this story is true or false, but it fits the personas of the two people involved quite well.

It has to be said that Steve Jobs was truly influential.

Some people are alive, but they are actually walking corpses; some people are dead, but they will live on in people's hearts forever. The latter refers to people like Steve Jobs.

V. People remember Steve Jobs

Gates certainly has his moments when his cleverness backfires. In the battle for who will take Tiktok, Microsoft, as the overwhelming favorite, was eliminated, which was one such moment.

Speaking of which, Zhang Yiming and Gates also met once. In September 2015, a national leader paid his first state visit to the United States, and Zhang Yiming was one of the business representatives accompanying the delegation. During this period, at the dinner following the 8th China-US Internet Forum held in Seattle, Zhang Yiming sat next to Gates and excitedly posted a Weibo message: \"I didn't dare ask about products like mobile phones, but I talked to Bill Gates about the future of operating systems.\"

ByteDance even donated through Gates' foundation, which was, in a sense, a pledge. But the series of events that followed completely spiraled out of control. This story is very long; we'll talk about it sometime.

But for Bill Gates, the biggest drawback was that Melinda filed for divorce this time.

Our view is that Bill Gates and Steve Jobs have alternating leading positions in the industry. The first decade was a decade when Jobs was far ahead of the competition, the second was a decade when Bill Gates gradually took the lead while Jobs constantly sought the north, and in the third decade, Bill Gates continued to rise while Jobs began to stabilize. However, at this time, the PC Internet had basically reached its end. In 2006, the beginning of the fourth decade, Jobs had a super opportunity to make a comeback, and he has indeed led the industry innovation for the past fifteen years.

In 2012, Apple's market capitalization surpassed Microsoft's, but at that time, neither Apple nor Microsoft actually had much to do with the two founders. Steve Jobs passed away a year ago, while Bill Gates wisely chose to do charity.

In an interview before his death, Steve Jobs commented on Gates: \"He had no imagination, so he did charity.\" While subtly mocking his opponents, he also expressed envy for Gates' actions.

This is like a card game. Although Jobs is leading, he is already all in, while Bill Gates still has a super ace to play. Unexpectedly, because of Melinda's divorce, this card is still very big, but it is hard to call it an ace. After all, although the two are divorced, the foundation still belongs to them. In the past, Melinda wouldn't have had much say in the foundation in order to maintain her marriage, but now it's hard to say, especially with feminism so prevalent today. Gates will lose at least half or even more of his control over the foundation.

No one is smarter than Gates, but smart people can only win in the present, while imaginative people can lead the future. Therefore, we always envy Bill Gates, but often miss Steve Jobs.
","source":"lsy1577858304421","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
No one is smarter than Bill Gates, but Steve Jobs is often remembered.
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nNo one is smarter than Bill Gates, but Steve Jobs is often remembered.\n
\n
\n
\n左林右狸2021-05-09 09:34\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Introduction: Smart people always win the present, and imaginative people lead the future.

\n
\n\n\n
,"news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3582,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":107794555,"gmtCreate":1620536479777,"gmtModify":1704344750765,"author":{"id":"3581505289738575","authorId":"3581505289738575","name":"kagomeh92","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b95182ab91170924dbedf345ec5b499f","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3581505289738575","idStr":"3581505289738575"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"Abcde","listText":"Abcde","text":"Abcde","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/987445226036f9325c12a21d6bd7e3cf","width":"720","height":"1280"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/107794555","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3499,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":107862983,"gmtCreate":1620466600442,"gmtModify":1704344130803,"author":{"id":"3581505289738575","authorId":"3581505289738575","name":"kagomeh92","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b95182ab91170924dbedf345ec5b499f","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3581505289738575","idStr":"3581505289738575"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"123456789","listText":"123456789","text":"123456789","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b52a57e6ad3cf20b01b2adb810f7365d","width":"720","height":"1280"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/107862983","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3296,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":107868116,"gmtCreate":1620466251835,"gmtModify":1704344128698,"author":{"id":"3581505289738575","authorId":"3581505289738575","name":"kagomeh92","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b95182ab91170924dbedf345ec5b499f","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3581505289738575","idStr":"3581505289738575"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"123456789","listText":"123456789","text":"123456789","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b4f7f69a8c55b9021423146de5640c4c","width":"720","height":"1280"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/107868116","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3298,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":104796323,"gmtCreate":1620418264662,"gmtModify":1704343398895,"author":{"id":"3581505289738575","authorId":"3581505289738575","name":"kagomeh92","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b95182ab91170924dbedf345ec5b499f","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3581505289738575","idStr":"3581505289738575"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"123456789","listText":"123456789","text":"123456789","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/c76483bec69c95fc98a816fddd67ae0d","width":"720","height":"1635"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/104796323","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":4434,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN",
