Robinhood has said its move is to affirm its commitment to BTC rather than a bet on its valuation. This is quite different from Strategy which views BTC as a hedge against inflation and is counting on its BTC assets to increase in value and thereby lift Strategy’s valuation. It is possible that other financial platforms may follow Robinhood’s lead but accumulating it in large amounts like Strategy is risky and will require careful consideration and risk management.
