Singapore's shares opened higher on Friday but fell into the negative territory at close to end the week in red, in the wake of global market jitters from overnight losses following mixed economic data.US consumer inflation cooled slightly last month, with the annual reading declining to 2.4% year on year and down from 2.5% in August.The Straits Times Index , a key benchmark for the Singapore Exchange, ranged between 3,573.76 and 3,603.50 throughout the day.
