Riding the Post-Golden Week Bull - Let's Go China.

On Tuesday, the entire nation of China will be back to work. If you've been following Chinese social media, you'll have noticed a surge of interest in investing in the Chinese stock market over the past few days. Some mainlanders are even going as far as refinancing their homes to free up capital. The level of enthusiasm to jump back into the market after the Golden Week holiday is something we haven't seen before in the history of the Chinese stock market. Some may argue that this is only a short-term effect, but the Chinese market has been depressed for so long, and many Chinese companies' valuations no longer make sense – they are relatively cheap. This bull run is bound to benefit some of the most well-run and long-undervalued Chinese companies. The question is, what are your top picks

What a joke.  CTrip results posted strong growth yesterday. As a travel platform, the growth in revenue and profit show a robust economy and people willingness to travel. PDD results and the fact it miss expectations should not be taken as a yardstick of health of Chinese economy but the failure of PDD to compete with the mighty Alibaba.$Alibaba(09988)$ $BABA-W(09988)$  $PDD Holdings Inc(PDD)$  $TRIP.COM-S(09961)$

This is funny$Alibaba(BABA)$  $Alibaba(09988)$ $PDD Holdings Inc(PDD)$    If PDD revenue miss expectations it means Alibaba management is doing a great job fending off competition and their strategy is effective. Alibaba should trend further up from here

PDD Holdings Drags Down Chinese E-Commerce Stocks

PDD Holdings plunged 25%, Alibaba and JD.com sank nearly 5%.PDD Holdings, the Chinese owner of online retailer Temu, plunged after it reported quarterly revenue that missed analysts’ expectations.PDD also said profitability could be hurt in the short term by investments in the business.Temu has grown quickly to become a challenger to Amazon and Chinese rivals Alibaba and JD.com.

$ANTA SPORTS(02020)$  ‌‌ I think ANTA is getting traction in SEA market especially with their Olympic sponsorship. There is generally an increase in interest of their product considering the value preposition and how active is Anta in organising local run clubs. Looking to dive deeper into the numbers.

$Alibaba(09988)$   $Alibaba(BABA)$   1. Recent news suggest that Apple next IPhone iterations will be pair with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. 2. For Apple China market, it is very likely that they will need to pair with a local partner to built in AI capabilities into Apple Product.  3. There is a lot of news / market chatter out there that suggest Apple may be partnering with Baidu (Ernie Bots) or Alibaba (Qwen) or others. 4. I think this is going to be critical and big mover advantage for Baidu, Alibaba and other AI developer in China. 5. I will not. No point chasing high at this point. Nvidia is a wonderful business but even if it is a great business, we must pay a reasonable price for it. At the moment, I just think it is overvalued. Remember dot come bubble and all other boom and bust? all the best everyone

$Alibaba(BABA)$ $Alibaba(09988)$   Just finished watching Joe Tsai interview in a JP Morgan event and is extremely impressed with the clarity of the strategy moving forward. For those who havent watch the video, please do it. In the interview, Joe explained the Alibaba roadmap for the AI. In particular, he pointed out that Alibaba is one the very few rare company other than$Alphabet(GOOG)$  that have both strong proprietary AI technology and cloud computing. They have a leading position in cloud and a competitive proprietary AI along with investment into a host of other potential AI startups. Joe also talk about the

$LINK REIT(00823)$  Other than BABA, LINK REIT presents another opportunity in the upcoming HK/ China bill especially if there is going to be rate cuts in 2nd half of this year. The current PB ratio is cheap and the dividend yield is attractive. Hence on paper, it appears to be a good business to invest in. The only drawbacks that perhaps difficult to quantify is the change in HK consumer behaviour. If you speak to any Hong Konger, the general trend is for Hong Konger to shop and spend in the mainland rather than HK. This trend is likely to continue and become the norm in the future. This will have an impact to retail mall demand in HK and how this affect the property market or LINK reit in Hk remains to be seen. What is everyone thought on
