Ithink it's important to note that not all investors in $Trump Media & Technology(DJT)$ invested for the returns. Instead, some of them invested in this as a campaign contribution or show of political support. It's an unusual (even unique?) offering in this regard. 

Buying options expiring the same day is only for investors with very high risk tolerances, who really understand a specific industry. High risk means (potentially) high returns though. this is what's called the risk premium.
