If you put any faith in classical supply and demand curves, you have to be at least somewhat concerned that a massive $7.6 trillion in Treasury debt matures in 2024 and must be refunded (rolled over). Let's toss into the mix another $3 trillion in new debt issuance. These trends are not sustainable. Prepare for something unpleasant in 2024. This recent bounce in TLT might be purely technical without strong fundamentals. What happens to TLT if the US dollar crashes in the fx markets? The world at large clearly grasps that our obscene debt must be monetized. It can never be paid down by taxes or economic growth alone.$TLT$ Bearish

Here is something for serious investors. Paypal had great earnings, increased guidance and yet some people want to only talk about margin pressure while ignoring the positive. How can a company be doing so well and at the same time some want you to believe they are falling apart?Look into the business segments of Paypal and what each is doing. Some parts of Paypal are in higher growth phases and have less margins while others have matured and have higher margins.   Trying to equate margin pressure on some of the company to the whole company is disingenuous. I’ve been investing for quite some time, and have used your approach and several others. The ones which work best are, 1) buy quantity stocks and hold, then buy more when others sell, 2) find ppl who are great at doing this and hop on board, like buying BRK or Magellan Fund when Lynch was running it, and 3) the best method: buy index funds, esp S&P500 and NASDAQ then go and enjoy life. I admit that I still like to pick ‘em, but if I’m honest, doing that is for fun, and all it does is hurt my long term returns.
