Tesla Falls As Meta-Threads vs Twitter Heats Up?

@JC888
Since its a lazy Sunday, I decided not to dwell too much on technical analysis (TA) or official data, charts etc… Instead let’s take a look at the latest happenings to one of the biggest social media conglomerates - $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$. When Mark Zuckerberg decided to launch its new product “Threads", he has “inevitably” signal, time to decide who will be crowned the king of “social media”. Personal view In my Thursday post, Buy $Meta Now Becos Of Threads - Twitter Killer. I have shared in detail, why I think Meta Platform will be the eventual winner (not now). Click to read, show some love, give a “Like”, “Share” & “Re-post” after reading ok. Thanks! One constant feedback I received is, in terms of Meta’s products ie. Facebook, Marketplace, Instagram, Reels, Instagram Stories they are all about social media. What is the big deal about its latest product, “Threads”? I think, I failed to clearly highlight the one “unique” Twitter attraction is its “special” users-mix, in my previous post. There’s a gamut of users eg. celebrities, ex-Presidents, writers, newspapers (journalists), singers, actors etc… They helped to create the unique Twitter ecosystem that I do not find 100% similar in Facebook or Instagram. To me this was Twitter value-proposition. Let's talk statistics & facts In less than 3 days after official launch: At least 70 Millions (in 2 days) have signed up for a Threads account, demonstrating its technical prowess. As mentioned in my ytd post, Meta hopes to achieve a record of hosting 1 Billion “active” users conversing in Threads. Hollywood have signed up - Oprah Winfrey (media empire queen). The Kardashians (reality celebrities). Tom Brady (ex-sportsman). Ellen DeGeneres (talk show host). Jennifer Lopez (actress, singer, dancer), Shakira (Latin America biggest singer, composer), Jack Black (comedian actor), Gordon Ramsay (celebrity chef), Miley Cyrus (singer). Spiritual leader has signed up - Dalai Lama. Corporates have signed up - Netflix, NBA, WNBA, Microsoft, McDonald’s, HGTV, PlayStation, Wimbledon, Ford, Charles Schwab, Airbnb, The BBC and Def Jam Recordings. Publishing has signed up - Guiness World Record, Vogue magazines. Richie Richs have signed up - Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg, Mark Cuban & Richard Branson. Except elon musk, Donald Trump (wonder why?). Who Have Yet To Sign Up? Instagram Top account holders - Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi & Selena Gomez. Twitter Top account holders - Ronaldo, Barack Obama, Taylor Swift & Narendra Modi. For now, I would not dwell too much on those who have yet to sign up for an account. Its still too early to tell. What is certain is mr elon musk has threatened to sue Meta Platforms over its new Threads platform. Twitter's lawyer Alex Spiro has sent a letter to the Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The accusation is Meta has hired former Twitter employees who "had and continue to have access to Twitter's trade secrets and other highly confidential information," Mr Spiro said that "Twitter intends to strictly enforce its intellectual property rights, and demands that Meta take immediate steps to stop using any Twitter trade secrets or other highly confidential information". In a Threads post, Meta spokesperson, Andy Stone retored "No one on the Threads engineering team is a former Twitter employee — that's just not a thing. A former senior Twitter employee told Reuters they were not aware of any former staffers working on Threads, nor any senior personnel who landed at Meta at all. In an ironic twist, mr elon musk has tweeted in response to news, saying "Competition is fine, cheating is not,". [Sidetrack] It is ironic because didn’t mr musk said that Tesla’s autonomous driving was supposed to be ready 7 years ago? Up until now, its at best a Level-3. Is the pot calling the kettle black? LOL! As a result of the lawsuit, it has caused Meta stock to lose its upwards momentum (see above). Before noon, it was trending upwards most of the time. More importantly: With the launch and massive adoption of Threads becomes a real threat to Twitter? Will this brew into an obsession for mr elon musk and keeps him pre-occupied with Twitter all over again? Even though Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino has already assumed the role, she is quiet as a church mouse. Take the recent saga where Twitter users had to find out “by chance” - the 01 July cap on the number of tweets users can read in a day, this was replied by mr musk to the users, not Ms Yaccarino. Do you find this funny? Last but not least, will we see a repeat of Tesla share price dipping all over again should the obsession with Threads continue to fester, now with a lawsuit. Wonder what else is in the horizon? Do you think Meta will be able to displace and replace Twitter? Do you think mr musk will become obsessed with the fight against Threads, once again neglecting Tesla, allowing it to free fall again? Please give a “LIKe”, “Share” & “Re-post” ok. Thanks! Rating is very important (to me) Do consider “Follow me” to read firsthand my daily new posts? Thanks! @Daily_Discussion @TigerPM @TigerStars @Tiger_SG @TigerEvents
