CPI - is this going up or down?
CPI or the inflation data will be released this coming week. The market is looking at this closely as this should affect the interest rate decisions for the Federal Reserve.
Should the inflation does not go down but continues to rise, this could trigger the Fed to clause taking a more hawkish stand. If the CPI goes down, this could lead the Fed to pause or even review the timeline for a pivot. However, the Fed has advised that there are no rate reductions in the coming months till 2024.
What do you think? Is CPI going up or down?
Personally, the constant rise of gasoline prices and the recent increase in crude oil prices should add some inflationary pressures in the coming weeks.
