Buying at the correct time

Nvidia is a good company fundamentally with what I believe is a good sustainable moat especially with particular reference to Cuda which represents their software stack. Imagine what the xcode is to Apple and how developers once they are comfortable with it will be sticky to it as well as the closed environment it is in. That was how Apple cornered the smart mobile market to a certain extent with Google apps being the other closest alternative to the mobile apps world.

So with a powerful hardware stack that is well ahead of their peers, it is no surprise they are well ahead in the AI trend. The other closest competitor with regards to what they offer is AMD. That is what I believe. And AMD themselves are trying to secure the software front end from their recent acquisitions.

However China is a sticky phenomenon considering the exposure they have to the China market as well how the US government view China as a threat hence the need to restrict high end hardware such as what Nvidia offers to them. But I believe over the long run, the demand for AI technology will be enough to circumvent that.

Whether now is a good time to buy or not is always the questions people ask. Good companies are aplenty but prices are not always the best. Nvidia is a good company. But is this a good price to enter? I believe technically, Nvidia has one more swing higher before retreating to levels that are more buyable for a long term and hold position.

Sell off is endemic to market in general across the board. As it pertains to China chip matter it’s way overblown, as is general market selling. It’s nothing more than a forced sell off of opportunity pre earnings
