Trading Multi-leg Options

Multi-leg trading is now available for US stock options, including commonly used strategies such as vertical spreads, straddles, and calendar spreads. It enjoys margin reduction based on the strategy type. You may could configure more option combinations with less money.

The new option chain

The new option chain that supports multi-leg trading coming. It supports predefined option strategies and also supports user-defined trading strategies. The selected option strategy can be directly traded, profit and loss analysis, or jump to the option strategy details page to view more data. For the time being, only two-legged option strategies are supported, and will continue to be updated in the future.

Adding your preferred option strategy to Watchlist

After adding your preferred option strategy to Watchlist, you can view the related quotes under the US stock options group. Click on the underlying to jump to the stock details page to place an order quickly. Help you to quickly find the option strategies they have created.

The Multi-leg Options Details Page

Welcome to our new feature - the Multi-leg Options Details Page! This feature aims to provide you with comprehensive information about multi-leg options, helping you better understand and manage your multi-leg options investment strategy. Here are the detailed contents of the page:

1. Composition Information and Latest Price: You can view the composition information of the two legs of the multi-leg options and access the latest price data.

3. K-line Chart: We provide intuitive candlestick charts that allow you to observe the historical price trends of the multi-leg options. This helps you analyze market trends and identify potential investment opportunities.

4. Position & Order information: You can check your holdings of the multi-leg options, including the current quantity and cost. Additionally, you can view order information related to the multi-leg options to ensure a clear understanding of your trades.

5. Order Book Information: This section includes the best bid and ask prices for the current multi-leg options, aiding you in making informed trading decisions.

6. Multi-leg Analysis: Through the profit/loss analysis graph, you can visually understand the profit potential and risks associated with the multi-leg options. This helps you formulate better investment strategies and optimize your returns.

Furthermore, at the bottom of the page, you have the option to trade the current multi-leg options or add it to your watchlist.

Multi-leg orders

1. A limit multi-leg order will be executed if an option spread is available at your specific limit price or better during regular trading hours. We will fill in the mark price, which is the midpoint between the ask price and the bid price, so you can adjust accordingly. Estimated Debit or Credit represent whether you will pay or get the premium for a specific order.

2. A P/L (Profit & Loss) chart is embedded in the order page, which helps you visualize an option strategies' theoretical profits or losses at expiration, or, you can adjust the date component and get the P/L before expiration.

3. Multi-leg orders enjoy margin reduction based on the strategy type. You can check the increased initial margin in the "Order Detail Preview" section(available for Pro mode only).

   

   

   

How to check the filled price for each leg in a multi-leg order

1. If you would like to see the filled price for each leg in a multi-leg order, go to "Portfolio-Orders" and click on the specific order.

   

Here Comes "Strategy Mode"

If your app is version 9.0.5 or above, you can find a more suitable "Strategy Mode" in the position settings for professional options investors.

By manually enabling the Strategy Mode, your multi-leg option positions will be chained together as a combo, making it more convenient to track quotes, costs, profits and losses, margin, etc.

Simultaneously, for single-leg option positions, our margin system will automatically match to minimize margin requirement. If the proportional matching is successful, they will also be chained in a combo form under the "Strategy Mode."
