This week, the market is focused on the earnings of tech giants. The 10-year US bond rate, the "anchor of global asset pricing", recently broke the important 5 per cent mark for the first time in intraday trading, hitting its highest level since 2007. It is worth noting that the strong economy is still pushing up U.S. bond rates, and many institutions believe that they will not see a significant decline in U.S. bond rates this year. The results of the surge in US Treasuries were quickly reflected in the markets. The S&P 500 is down about 7 percent from its high for the year as the fixed income offered by U.S. government bonds lured investors away from stocks. Wall Street continues to report corporate earnings this week, the most concerned is undoubtedly Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet and Meta and other technology giants and heavyweight enterprises, will release quarterly financial results. Economic data focused on the first estimate of U.S. second-quarter GDP and the Personal consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said in a note that with Alphabet and Meta set to report third-quarter earnings, he expects both companies to benefit from digital advertising growth. Ives reiterated his "outperform" rating on Alphabet and Meta shares, noting that the outlook for digital advertising in the second half of 2023 remains "positive" even in the face of general economic uncertainty. Michael Wilson, a prominent Wall Street bear and chief U.S. equity strategist at Morgan Stanley, said the likelihood of a year-end rally for U.S. stocks is fading because of a variety of risks, including lower earnings expectations and Federal Reserve tightening. Wilson said a combination of earnings, valuations and the policy outlook would make it difficult for the S&P 500 to get back above 4,300 to 4,400. The strategist's year-end target of 3,900 is still 8 percent downside from current levels. * 9:30 ~ 10:30 every day, real-time sharing of exclusive screening options large order, welcome to click to subscribe.
