The U.S. unemployment rate recorded 3.9 percent in October, the highest level since January 2022, versus market expectations of 3.8 percent. On the political and economic front, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) announced its interest rate decision on Wednesday, leaving the benchmark interest rate corridor at 5.25% to 5.5%, the second consecutive time without raising interest rates, and the market predicted that the Fed may now have completed the most aggressive tightening cycle in four decades.
