The current Roku (ROKU 1.26%) situation reminds me of the unseen Netflix opportunity in 2011 in many ways.</p><p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">This company started out as Netflix's formal streaming hardware division and later became a stand-alone business on its own so that the parent company could strike deals with every consumer electronics maker without worrying about the threat of internal set-top boxes.</p><p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">As a result, Roku has a head start over almost all of its competitors. No one can match its experience, and Roku has earned that advantage in polishing the media streaming interface to make it user-friendly. With the ever-growing global streaming market and the prevalence of cuts to cable services across five continents, I expect Roku to take full advantage of this valuable first-mover advantage.</p><p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">Even with a 130% year-to-date gain, Roku stock remains stuck on Wall Street's cheap shelf. Shares today are more than 80% below the (admittedly overly optimistic) all-time highs seen in the summer of 2021. The Wall Street consensus price target for Roku stock is $84, which is 10% below the latest share price reading of $94.</p><p>The company voluntarily put itself into this situation by keeping prices stable for much of the inflationary crisis. This choice has led to deeply negative profits, but it has also maintained a steady boost to user growth. At the start of the inflation scare, Roku had 56 million active accounts in the fall of 2021. In this month's report, that number grew by 34% to 76 million users. Over the same period, total revenue increased by 57%.</p><p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">Of course, Roku's earnings are still negative. This is a flaw for many investors, including many Wall Street analysts. But I assure you that this situation is just as temporary as Netflix's harrowing Qwikster affair. Roku's free cash flow has turned positive over the past 12 months, and its total revenue is growing.</p><p>I'm sure we're witnessing future entertainment giants go through some growing pains. Whatever your average analyst thinks about Roku's target value, to me, this is an unquestionable buy.</p><p><p style=\"text-align: start;\"><strong><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/PSNY\">Polestar Automobile</a></strong>The fast lane around the bottom line barrier Next, we're going to Sweden (via China and the UK) to see a new company with a much smaller number of analysts following. Electric luxury automaker Polestar Automotive (PSNY 1.48%) offers a high-quality alternative, backed by parent company Volvo and ultimately Chinese auto giant Geely.</p><p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">Polestar was appointed to Volvo's electric vehicle (EV) division in 2017, rolling the last gasoline vehicle off its Chinese production line in 2022. As a result, this Polestar-branded version is about a decade smaller than the Roku and can easily be overlooked as a small player in the EV market. Only two analyst firms have provided earnings estimates for the stock, while eight have a consensus recommendation of Hold.</p><p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">November's third-quarter report gave the bears more fodder. The company missed its guidance for vehicle production and profitability and cut its long-term production target for 2025. Polestar's market cap stopped at around $950 million, roughly equal to the amount of cash on hand.</p><p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">As gloomy as it sounds, there's still a lot of energy in the Polestar's pace.
