Two clapping hands for 60 years. Now left one.
I have never met the two main characters fronting $Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$ .
Neither have I:
Made the pilgrimage trip to Omaha, Nebraska.
Attend one of Berkshire Hathaway annual meetings.
Listen “live” to the two gurus.
I guessed now I will not have the opportunity, to immerse and benefit the full experience, ever again.
However, having said that, I have at different times watch videos of the Dynamic Duo and listened to their words of wisdom.
What I noticed is that when the 2 of them are together, there is an unwritten rule in the playbook with Mr Munger allowing Mr Buffett to front any session.
But that does not mean Mr Munger would be taking a break.
On the contrary, he would be listening intently and jumped in, to supplement or give his view, prompted or otherwise.
What else I have noticed is that the illustration cited by Mr Buffett is slightly different from Mr Munger. The latter just has his way of getting his view across using illustration or example, thats uniquely his.
On occasions, when he was flying solo, what I noticed is that he listens intently to what the host has to say so that his reply hit the nail on the head.
His clarity of mind never faded all these years.
Casting aside the buying and selling of other companies’ shares, the 2 of them, each representing one hand, Mr Buffett (left) and Mr Munger (right - Mr Buffett’s right hand man), have been clapping and making the best celebratory noise for the longest time.
With the right hand on hiatus forever, what noise can the left hand make going forward?
Often, we mourn and lament when someone (who has an impact on us) exit the stage permanently.
What we fail to realize is, those who are still around, deserves some care and attention too.
So, spare a thought for Mr Buffett.
Spare him a tweet so that he knows that someone out there is thinking of him too.
