Market artificial intelligence (AI) optimism resurfaces, Google launches artificial intelligence model Gemini, parent company Alphabet's share price is strong, Nvidia and AMD also increased by more than 2% and 9%, respectively. The Fei-half index closed up nearly 2.8 percent. The labor market has been in focus for investors this week amid a slew of mixed data. In a sign the pace of layoffs is not picking up, new data from the Labor Department on Thursday showed the number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits last week was lower than market expectations, while the number of people continuing to collect jobless benefits fell far less than expected, the biggest drop since July. The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield edged up to 4.129 percent on Thursday, reflecting concerns about the strength of the labor market. U.S. private employers added 103,000 jobs in November, ADP said, below October's gain of 106,000 and market expectations of 128,000. This follows data released by the Labor Department on Tuesday, when the Bureau of Statistics said job openings fell to 8.7 million, the lowest since March 2021. Economists expect the U.S. economy added 190,000 jobs in November, up from October. Investors are hoping that signs of a cooling in the labor market will make the Fed more determined to keep rates at current levels next week. Traders are pricing in a 60 percent chance of a Fed rate cut in March, up from 50 percent a week ago, according to CME's FedWatch tool. * 10:30 ~ 11:30 every day, real-time sharing of exclusive screening options large order, welcome to click to subscribe.
