$MSFT Tops Earnings Week. US Market Cheers!

@JC888
You asked and this is my reply. I think the Queen Bee stock for the week belongs to $Microsoft(MSFT)$. Why? Simply for the fact that Microsoft’s AI drew the above picture (for me) based on my random, whimsical requirements. (see above) And it managed to capture (in essence) what I was hoping to see in the finished product. Need I say more? Q2 2024 earnings forecast. Microsoft MSFT is set to report second-quarter fiscal 2024 results on Tue, 30 Jan 2024. Revenue estimate: $61.03 Billion, that is a +15.71% YoY gain. Earnings per share estimates: $2.76, that is +18.97% YoY growth. Growth in Microsoft's cloud products, including Azure, Office 365, and others, is expected to help top-line growth through strong performance in both the Intelligent Cloud and Productivity & Business Processes segments for the upcoming quarter. Microsoft’s appeal (to me) When OpenAI introduced ChatGPT to the world, it blew everyone off. That included $Alphabet(GOOG)$ - the defacto AI leader of the pack, so much so that in their haste to showcase Bard (Google’s equivalent of ChatGPT), they made a mess of Bard’s debut. What I liked about Microsoft is its approach to introduce Artificial Intelligence to us - in small dosage, overtime. “Slowly” but surely, Microsoft has been integrating AI, including OpenAI's technology and similar initiatives, into its suite of products. What appeals and is important to me is how Microsoft’s AI could be leverage to enhance my life (leisure or work), bringing greater efficiently so that I could afford to spend quality time doing things that I like. This will be Microsoft greatest value proposition and why it is worthy of its Trillion dollar valuation. Below is Microsoft’s progress: (based on what I have observed so far) Integrating AI into its products suite. Status of integration. Adoption. Extent of Integration: Copilot in M365: The prominent app is "Copilot" in Microsoft Office 365 (M365), powered by Azure AI technology including LLMs. It offers features like email writing suggestions, data extraction from tables, and formula suggestions in Excel. Bing Search: Microsoft Bing has integrated GPT-4 technology from OpenAI, enabling chat-like interactions and more insightful answers to search queries. Azure Cognitive Services: Azure Cognitive Services offer various AI tools powered by LLMs, including text analytics, translation, and content moderation. These are available for integration into diverse applications. GitHub Copilot: This code-writing assistant, now independent of OpenAI but originally developed in collaboration, utilizes LLM technology to suggest code completions and functions. Success of Integration: Copilot: Reviews of Copilot have been positive, highlighting its potential for productivity improvements. Microsoft reported 4x faster email composition with Copilot, suggesting user value. However, concerns remain about accuracy, bias, and user control over AI-generated content. Bing Search: Integration has shown promise in handling open-ended questions and providing contextually relevant information. It's still under development, but early impressions suggest improved search usability. Azure Cognitive Services: Widespread adoption in various industries indicates success in providing developers with AI building blocks. GitHub Copilot: GitHub reports millions of users and positive feedback, but concerns about code ownership and safety persist. Adoption: Copilot: M365 has millions of users, potentially making Copilot widely accessible. However, individual user adoption data is not readily available. Bing Search: Usage data is not publicly available, but increased engagement with its chatbot feature suggests promising adoption. Azure Cognitive Services: Adoption across various industries, from healthcare to finance, signifies widespread appeal. GitHub Copilot: Millions of developers using GitHub indicate significant adoption, though specific numbers for Copilot integration are unclear. Challenges and Risks: Accuracy and Bias: LLMs inherit biases from their training data, requiring careful curation and mitigation strategies. User Control and Explainability: Transparency and user control over AI-generated content remain critical for trust and ethical use. Job displacement: Concerns exist about AI potentially automating some jobs, necessitating responsible use and reskilling initiatives. My viewpoints: (mine & mine only) Google has revolutionized the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) some 28 years ago. Microsoft (to me) is continuing the “good work” along that path, enhancing our live on how to further make sense of information confronting us daily. Of course, Google is hot on the heels to attempt to regain that throne that it has occupied for the longest time. The more people take to the AI-infused products in their day-to-day life, the more valuable the company supplying these useful & powerful tools becomes. Don’t get me wrong, $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ is doing something niffty with AI too. However, the nature of Amazon’s enhancement is invisible to the naked eye. If there is one critique to level against the picture that Microsoft-AI drew, it would be that it is extremely rare find rainbow over an opened sea. It should have been “smart” enough to reject my request. Ha ha ha! Must Read: Click on below titles to access. Give a like & help to repost ok. Thanks. AT&T, no brainer Must Buy in 2024.
