I’ve been enjoying Christchurch (New Zealand) over the Easter break! The flight from Auckland at sunset was simply amazing. Travelled down the West Coast of the North and South Island watching the changing hues of the sunset skyline!
Feel very privileged to experience New Zealand’s largest city in the South Island and the seat of the Canterbury Region. It's known for its culture, heritage, nightlife, and scenery. The city is also known as "The Garden City" because of its many parks and mature trees.
Have visited the beautiful Botanical gardens with beautiful Autumn colours, been on the Tram tour and Gondola, to Lyttelton, Brighton and Sumner beaches. It truly is a beautiful city with amazing artwork, lovely historical buildings and fantastic outdoor facilities to cater for any adventure.
It’s amazing what has been restored since the devastating earthquake in 2011! Most evident along the banks of the Avon river, which is home to the Riverside indoor market, an indie theater, and a hip new hospitality development.
Truly worth visiting to experience this vibrant city.
