  • Its a blue chip stock baz, but you have gone short, very short. A difficult decision to make. The issue is everyone is obsessed with $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ and $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ at the mo, so great companies like microsoft fly under the radar
    I suppose you need to look at whether they are likely to make any positive announcements in the next few days that will boost the price… unlikely. I can’t offer advice, but if i was in your shoes I’d not be happy realizing that loss. I would look at what i can learn from the trade. For me the lesson would be… don’t go short on any stock unless you are certain there is positive news coming very soon.
    Personally, ok its microsoft, eventually it will go up, so i would roll the call (ie: extend it if you can). Or excise it so i don’t realize the loss.
    We ate not talking about a crap stock here, so i would eat the paper loss, knowing that long term that paper loss will turn to profit

  • Close it when msft goes up. Buying ATM short term option is easy to lose money
