Do you have a particular investment strategy?

Usually, I buy into a company that I know. Usually, they serve products or provide services that I use on a daily basis. I have also been trying to find new ideas through learning and from my daily life and daily work.

I also look out for investments made by super investors on 13Fs filings. That information is available on Tiger and other news websites. So, when I find a super investor that I like and bought a stock last quarter, I would be interested and look further into it. If the thesis seems logical to me. I will wait for the correct price and just buy.

What types of assets (stocks, options, ETFs etc.) do you mainly invest in?

I invest in companies like $Amazon.com(AMZN)$, $Apple(AAPL)$, $Alphabet(GOOG)$, $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$, $Alibaba(BABA)$, $TENCENT(00700)$, $Howard Hughes Holding(HHH)$ and $McDonald's(MCD)$.

What is the most memorable investment you've made since being with Tiger?

Among my investments in Tiger, the most memorable one would be $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$, which is Facebook. So, it would have been around the end of 2022 it was trading at around $130.00. I bought it when the sentiment was quite bad for Facebook. They were spending lots of money on Metaverse, losing money, and facing regulations from the US government on privacies and regulations.

I bought it then because I thought its trading was at a ridiculous kind of valuation. Facebook at that time was still earning tonnes of cash, earning high returns of capital, and Zuckerberg in one of his earning calls stated to be cutting down on its spending. The core business and money-earning capability of Facebook is unaffected, it is purely the sentiment that is bad, which in my opinion is irrational and irrelevant, but the stock prices at the short term were extremely pessimistic. So, I bought it and it's since more than tripled in price.

What have been the most significant lessons you’ve learned throughout your investing journey?

I think the most significant lesson is to know your circle of competence to know what you actually don’t know and have a kind of margin of safety. If you are correct, you stand to gain a higher-than-average return, but even when you are wrong, you don’t lose much.

And to be intellectually honest. There are really a few things in the world that are 100% right. In investing, we are essentially predicting the future of a company, and the future is just unpredictable, what we are getting is just a probability of different scenarios happening so we should really invest in money that we can afford to lose. We should buy things at a price that we think is cheap, and we should always be ready to override our previous convictions when there's new information that arises.

What kind of investor are you?

I’ve been dabbling for about 18 months now. I’ve been quite aggressive with my trading whilst trying to learn the ropes. The first 12 months I took profits immediately regardless of the amount but I am learning to be more patient now.

What is the biggest investment lesson you've learned in the past few years?

Patience, for sure. When I started I was chasing quick wins no matter how small and I think if I can be a bit more restrained I will be better off in the long run.

What is the most memorable investment you've made in the past few years?

$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$, I had never heard of them and I am still not sure what they do really but everyone was talking about it and its been my best outcome by a mile!

Apart from stocks, do you invest in other categories on Tiger Brokers? Such as funds, US Treasury bonds, US stock options?

Futures terrify me but I like the concept of options, once I build my portfolio and get a better understanding I’ll definitely have a dabble but for now I’m playing everything with a straight bat and keeping it simple.

Anything you'd like to say to other Tiger users?

Ask questions, it’s better to ask than to guess!

What kind of investor are you?

Hey, so I’m pretty new to all this investing stuff, but I’m super excited about it! I guess you could say I’m an investor who follows her heart. I invest in brands and companies that I think are cool or that I use all the time so I believe in them.

Will you study financial knowledge on Tiger Brokers?

For sure! I want to learn everything I can to make my dreams come true. The educational stuff on Tiger is super helpful, like having a personal finance class right on my phone. I’m soaking up as much as I can so I can make smart choices with my money.

Where do you think the next bull market or potential lies? What are your investment goals?

I think anything related to tech and sustainable fashion has huge potential. People want to look good and feel good about their choices, so brands that are eco-friendly and stylish are the future. My goal is to build a portfolio that reflects my values and hopefully makes me some good money so I can travel the world!

What is the most frequently used feature of Tiger Brokers for you? What are your expectations for Tiger Brokers?

I love the social features and market news. It’s great to see what’s trending and what other people are talking about. I’d love to see more interactive tools and maybe some fun ways to learn more about investing. And more cool brand partnerships wouldn’t hurt either!

What is the biggest investment lesson you've learned in the past few years?

Patience and resilience. Just like in the Army, not every operation goes as planned. The markets are unpredictable, and learning not to get too excited on the up days or too panicked on the down days has been a good lesson.

What is the most memorable investment you've made in the past few years?

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ 100%

Where do you think the next bull market or potential lies? What are your investment goals?

I'm bullish on renewable energy and AI Healthcare. The world is pivoting towards sustainability, and the advancements in medical technology are fascinating.
