Towards the end of their results announcement, Meituan stated, "Through our ongoing efforts, we aim to enhance value for all the stakeholders in our ecosystem, driving high-quality development in China’s local commerce industry and fulfilling our mission that “We help people eat better, live better.""
Contrast with $PDD Holdings Inc(PDD)$ CEO's statement:
"We are committed to transitioning toward high-quality development and fostering sustainable ecosystem. We will invest heavily in the platform’s trust and safety, support high-quality merchants, and relentlessly improve the merchant ecosystem. We are prepared to accept short-term sacrifices and potential decline in profitability."
