So…this Friday we find out which companies got added and taken out of the S&P 500 index.
Palantir has been GAAP profitable for 6 quarters in a row (it’ll be seven in November), has a market cap well above the requirement, has a very liquid stock, and is in my opinion of the top 500 companies in America — and I say that with the core argument around how AI is operationalizing every enterprise/gov agency they work with.
If AI is a decade long theme and the S&P $SPY committee cares about the most important companies in the world…it feels like Palantir should be a company they consider.
The last two companies they picked, $CRWD Crowdstrike & $SMCI Super Micro, both fell 30%+ after a global IT outage and a failure to disclose a basic 10K form.
You’d think the committee would look for a company that is important in tech/AI, doesn’t have global IT outages, and files their SEC documents on time…
Who thinks Palantir actually gets in this time🥶
