比較起 $Beyond Meat, Inc.(BYND)$ 或者impossible food, 我更看好這家公司。Beyond 是很好的接引肉食者轉向素食的管道,tattooed chef打的是素食者的市場。
素食者並不會長期刻意去食用人造肉,反之tattooed chef的產品讓很多顧客回頭,包括非素食者。其原因除了價廉物美外,符合大衆的口味,以及選擇多樣化是其最大的競爭優勢。從面子書羣組以及instagram就可以得知消費者對tattooed chef產品的熱愛程度。未來若beyond想擴大其影響力,產品多元化,以及降低售價是不可避免的。最誇張的是,公司在2021年以前未花過一分錢打廣告,都可以取得如此驚人的業績。
要在Costco, Wallmart 上架產品門檻不易,但要持續維持在架子上,產品擺放在最鮮豔觸手可得的位置,是真的難。說明產品多麼的搶手。
目前我對tattooed的兩個顧慮,第一是他們處理投資者疑問不夠透明和關心。畢竟這本是家族生意,Sam galleti還不習慣吧?第二是產品都是屬於冷凍食品,在歐美的網頁上,唯一能查找到的產品cauliflower chicken wings被給予營養價值C的等級(中等),並且標明植物纖維不確定,糖,脂肪和鹽份在很好的水平。其次加工指數在NOVA4,也是最差的評分,屬高度加工食品。我也順道查找了所有競爭者,包括beyond, impossible, tofukry, the very good food company, 等等的產品,同樣坐落在NOVA4, 少數TOFUKRYNOVA3.
總的來說,以素食意識以及健康意識的加強,tattooed的產品需要在加工以及營養方面更上一層樓。這公司目前來說,還是一個非常好的投資。
