NVDA is aiming 190?
$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ Next target is 180?
After following this for a few days in a row, there has been a rash of big options orders to ambush NVIDIA at record highs, for example:
And NVDA is currently riding ahead of other giants like $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ $Apple(AAPL)$ and favourites $SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$ $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ while an even larger amount is coming from call options (CALL).
Of course there were also a lot of shorts at new highs that turned out to be blown out by the ongoing surge.
Fundamentally, I think the following 3 reasons are important
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ 's big earnings beat is a more direct indication that AI chip demand is real and is not impacted by $ASML Holding NV(ASML)$ s lower upstream demand. As Kuo explained, one of the main reasons for ASML's lower-than-expected orders came from the limited increase in orders from the memory industry ( $Micron Technology(MU)$ ), and while demand for AI servers is very strong, the bottleneck for HBM production is TSVs, so there's no need to buy EUV equipment when demand for consumer electronics isn't picking up.But the demand for GPUs for AI didn't drop as a result.
Blackwell pre-order demand is strong, $Microsoft(MSFT)$ one has placed a large number of orders, and may get a concentrated burst of performance in Q4.
Not too affected by the election, whether H or T in power, it is unlikely to suppress NVIDIA.
