Good time to DCA my current holding in $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF(VOO)$  People always say that S&P500 is the most idiot-proof investment tactic to profit from the stock market in the long run. It is, indeed, so long as you have the patience (for years) and don't let emotions overwhelm your logic.

Emotions should not be allowed to have an influence on your selected portfolio, other than speculative stocks that are currently not totally in profit Yet. The stocks bought for a long term portfolio will treat you well if you have done your due diligence and you have the confidence of the current CEO , knowing that they are brilliant at steering your selection of companies at delivering +CAGR with cash reserves & Net profits.
    Just saying.

truly agree, emotion should never be a consideration of decision making, and this applies to many aspects, not just in investment [Cool]

The Vanguard ETF is an awesome investment for a 401 (k) without the need of keeping an eye on it, the Fund manager does this for you at a small fee. Current returns based on my own 401(k) being invested in the high growth high risk has been growing at 22 % per year. Building your own portfolio including the research required to have returns in excess of 50-150% growth per year is possible ….provided that your portfolio is treated as a hobby& we know how successful hobbies do become.
