Tesla's Robotaxi Revolution - Is This The Next USD 2 Trillion Breakout?
@koolgal:
🌟🌟🌟Tesla $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ has officially launched its long awaited Robotaxi service in Austin, Texas and Wall Street is buzzing with excitement. With a small fleet of driverless Model Y SUVs now operating in a geofenced area, Tesla is finally putting its Full Self Driving (FSD) technology to the test in the real world. But this is just one piece of a much larger vision of Elon Musk's goals. Tesla is no longer just an EV company. It is evolving into a full stack AI and robotics powerhouse. Tesla vs the Competition - A High Stakes Race Tesla's Robotaxi debut pits it against formidable rivals like Waymo which is a subsidiary of Alphabet $Alphabet(GOOG)$ and Zoox backed by $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ Waymo currently leads in scale, operating over 250,000 paid rides per week across multiple US cities using a sensor rich approach. Zoox is building custom bidirectional pods and plans to launch in Las Vegas later this year. What is Tesla's edge? A vision only FSD system powered by billions of real world miles and a vertically integrated AI stack. It is risker as there is no LiDAR, no radar but potentially more scalable and cost efficient. Tesla also plans to launch a dedicated Robotaxi vehicle called the Cybercab in 2026. Tesla's critics argue that skipping LiDAR and launching in a lightly regulated state like Texas raises safety and trust concerns. Waymo by contrast has taken the slow and steady route in prioritising safety, transparency and regulatory compliance. Waymo manufactures a suite of self driving hardware developed in house. This includes sensors and hardware enhanced vision system, radar and lidar. Sensors give 360 degrees views while lidar detects objects up to 300 metres away. Zoox is going all in on design, aiming to reinvent the vehicle itself. Zoox has just confirmed the opening of its first dedicated production facility for self driving taxis in Hayward California this week. It is the first of its kind in the US to manufacture purpose built Robotaxis at scale and ultimately will have the capability to churn out 10,000 a year. Beyond Cars - Tesla's Expanding Universe Tesla's ambitions stretch far beyond autonomous vehicles. Here is a look at its other frontier projects : Tesla Bot (Optimus) - A humanoid robot designed to perform repetitive or dangerous tasks. Production began in 2025 with Elon Musk aiming to build 5,000 units this year and 50,000 in 2026. Optimus is already being tested in Tesla factories and could eventually enter homes and service industries. Dojo Supercomputer - Tesla's custom built AI training machine, designed to process video data from its fleet and train neural networks faster than traditional systems. It is a key enabler for both FSD and Optimus. Energy and Storage - Tesla's solar and battery business is quietly booming. Megapack deployments are accelerating and Tesla Energy could become a USD 100 billion business by 2030. AI & Robotics Integration - Tesla's AI Day events have showcased its vision of a vertically integrated AI company where cars, robots and energy systems all run on the same neural architecture. Target Price and Analyst Sentiment Following the Robotaxi launch, Tesla's share price surged over 10%. Analysts' targets vary widely - Wedbush USD 500 (Bull case) . Wells Fargo USD 120 (Bear case). Consensus USD 293.50. Dan Ives of Wedbush calls this the start of a USD 1 Trillion autonomous journey while others remain cautious about Tesla's execution risk. Is Tesla A Long Term Buy? If you believe in the convergence of AI, Robotics and Clean Energy, Tesla is arguably the most ambitious bet on the board. Its Robotaxi business alone could generate up to 90% of profits by 2029 according to ARK Invest. Add in Optimus, Dojo and energy storage and you have a company with multiple trillion dollar addressable markets. Tesla's revenue is projected to grow from USD 112 billion in 2025 to nearly USD 300 billion by 2030 with EPS potentially rising sixfold. That kind of growth combined with its innovation flywheel, makes Tesla a compelling long term hold, provided you can bear the volatility. Concluding Thoughts - Betting on the Future Tesla's Robotaxi rollout isn't just a product launch. It is a signal flare for the company's next chapter. With autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots and AI infrastructure all converging, Tesla is building a future that looks more like a science fiction than traditional auto manufacturing. For investors with vision and patience, Tesla maybe more than just a stock. Tesla could be a stake in the architecture of tomorrow. @Tiger_comments @TigerStars @Daily_Discussion @CaptainTiger @Tiger_SG @TigerClub
