Nasdaq Announced the inclusion of 5 stocks—RKLB, ALAB, CRWV, NBIS, & TER
$Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$ has surprisingly become the first stock in the space economy sector to be included in the $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$, instead of SpaceX.
Nasdaq announced the inclusion of five stocks— $Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$ , $Astera Labs, Inc.(ALAB)$ , $CoreWeave, Inc.(CRWV)$ , $NEBIUS(NBIS)$ , and $Teradyne(TER)$ —in the Nasdaq 100 index, effective June 22nd. Congratulations to the shareholders of these stocks, both large and small. I've been following RKLB since the second half of last year and have discussed it extensively on X, reflecting on RKLB's journey.
The benefit of being included in an index is that it automatically triggers passive investment in passive index funds and ETFs tracking that index, reflecting the stock's market position.
Recently, the market correction has been significant, not only in the AI and space economy sectors, but also in the past few days. A friend even commented on a post asking if RKLB was still viable. At the time, I was optimistic that SpaceX's IPO would generate a rally, potentially boosting the space economy sector as well.
Unexpectedly, RKLB has proven its worth; ultimately, its own strength is what matters.
