$Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$  Today felt different. For months now, any pump we got just wouldn't hold. It would fade the next day, sometimes even later that same afternoon. This time there was basically no selling at all, just a straight rip higher. No sellers anywhere, except a bit of retail profit-taking near the close.

The market is forward-looking, as people like to say. With the Trump/Xi meeting and Iran heading to the U.N. for peace talks, that's what the market is pricing in right now. If there's some kind of resolution in the Middle East, we already saw back in April what that could mean.

Inflation data should drop right along with oil, which takes away the rate hike chatter. And most analysts and news outlets already said that 0.25% hike was purely symbolic anyway. It doesn't really hurt or help anyone.

Previously the pumps sold off. Today was different.

This kind of face-ripping move is what I've been expecting for a couple months now.

Bears should probably be paying attention.
