The Most Worth-Holding Stock in October

$Intel(INTC)$

If you ask me what the most worth-holding stock in October is, yesterday I wouldn't have had a definitive answer — but today I can confidently say it's Intel.

On Monday, a large Sell Call block opened, selling the October 16-expiry 130 Call $INTC 20261016 130.0 CALL$ , opening 52,000 contracts. Someone also opened a 160 Sell Call and an October 9-expiry 130 Sell Call, but both were under 10,000 contracts.

Ordinary Sell Call block trades get absorbed into the options wall, but a 50,000-contract Sell Call block carries reflexivity.

The effect of these massive seller block trades plays out in two phases: In the first phase, the validity of the block trade is confirmed — this phase typically occurs one to two weeks before expiration, manifesting as the stock price struggling to exceed the seller's strike price. For example, before next week, INTC's stock price will find it very hard to break above 130 — the accuracy rate is very high.

On the other hand, in the one to two weeks approaching expiration, the stock price will eerily approach the seller's strike price, forcing the seller to close early. This applies to both Sell Puts and Sell Calls.

So the conclusion is: this massive 50,000-contract Sell Call opening significantly increases the probability of Intel rallying to 130 in October.

$KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF(KWEB)$

Coinciding with Hong Kong stocks pulling back to mid-year lows again, someone opened 113,000 contracts of the KWEB December-expiry 24 Call $KWEB 20261218 24.0 CALL$ , with a total notional value of approximately $20+ million. I saw a similar block trade once at the end of June. There was also one in January this year, though the massive Put openings that followed overwhelmed the bullish trend.

$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$

Meta is very interesting — this could be added to the classic case studies. There are many reasons for the pullback and consolidation: it's not profitable at this stage, may not be profitable in the next year either, and competitors are launching products. But I think we should see how far pessimistic sentiment can ferment, then buy the dip.

Based on options openings, the stock is expected to oscillate between 600 and 750 in October. The Sell Call $META 20261023 760.0 CALL$  block trade, because the opening volume isn't large enough, can only serve as a directional guide.

$NVIDIA(NVDA)$

Nothing much to evaluate — it's a top-tier Sell Put candidate. If you don't know what to do, just sell puts on NVDA on a weekly or monthly basis. For October, consider setting 215 as the Sell Put strike $NVDA 20261016 215.0 PUT$.
