美方拒還，中方迴應

有記者提問，昨天美國國家安全委員會發言人約翰·柯比稱，沒有計劃將氣球的碎片和設備歸還給中國，中方對此有何評論？

“這個氣球不是美國的。中國政府將繼續堅決維護自身的正當合法權益。”毛寧說。
毛寧表示，關於這個飛艇，我們說過很多次了。我想強調的是，首先中國的無人飛艇是民用性質，完全是因爲不可抗力誤入了美國的領空，這是個意外事件，沒有對美方的人員和國家安全構成威脅。對於這一類的事件，美方本來應當以冷靜、專業、非武力的方式妥善處理，但是美方執意動用武力明顯是反應過度。
