5 Stocks I'm Watching Today: AMD, SMCI, CRCL, BYND and MU. The Market Has Stopped Paying for Stories.

Something interesting is happening underneath this market.

Yesterday:

NASDAQ: -1.07%

S&P 500: -0.51%

while:

DOW: +0.41%.

Yet this morning some of the most beaten-up growth names are bouncing pre-market.

AMD:

+2.94%.

SMCI:

+2.46%.

Micron:

+3.24%.

CRCL:

+0.99%.

That looks like dip buying.

But I think something bigger is happening.

The market is becoming much more selective about:

WHAT IT IS WILLING TO PAY FOR.

Palantir just gave us a perfect example.

Phenomenal growth.

Phenomenal margins.

Phenomenal cash generation.

The stock still fell.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq-100 has entered correction territory as investors increasingly question whether enormous AI spending will translate into sufficient returns.

So going into tonight's earnings, I am NOT asking:

“WHICH COMPANY WILL BEAT?”

That question is too easy.

I am asking:

“WHICH COMPANY CAN PROVE THAT THE NEXT DOLLAR IS COMING?”

Because the market has moved from:

STORY

↓

GROWTH

↓

EXECUTION

↓

PROOF.

And over the next 36 hours, five stocks on my watchlist could tell us a lot about what investors are willing to reward next.

AMD

SMCI

CRCL

BYND

and my sympathy watch:

MU.

Here's my game plan.

🔥 AMD: THE MOST IMPORTANT EARNINGS OF THE GROUP

AMD reports after the bell tonight.

The stock has already been smashed.

Around:

$466.84

after falling:

7.52%.

Yet pre-market it is trying to recover toward:

$480.55.

At first glance?

That looks tempting.

But AMD is exactly the type of stock where I do NOT want to confuse:

A CHEAPER PRICE

with:

A LOW EXPECTATION BAR.

Because expectations are still enormous.

Wall Street is looking for roughly:

$13.1B REVENUE

and:

$1.95 ADJUSTED EPS.

And AMD itself had already guided Q3 revenue to approximately:

$13B ± $300M.

The previous quarter was extraordinary.

Revenue:

$11.536B

Up:

50% YoY.

But this was the number that really mattered:

DATA CENTER REVENUE: $6.718B

Up:

107% YoY.

Data Center already represented roughly:

58%

of AMD's revenue.

So tonight isn't really a PC-chip earnings report anymore.

This is increasingly:

AN AI INFRASTRUCTURE EARNINGS REPORT.

And that changes the question.

🧠 WHAT I WANT FROM AMD

Not merely:

revenue beat

EPS beat

upbeat Lisa Su commentary.

I want evidence that the chain continues:

AI ORDERS

↓

INSTINCT DEPLOYMENTS

↓

DATA CENTER REVENUE

↓

MARGIN

↓

CASH.

Because this is the transition the whole AI market is trying to make.

AMD has already proven demand exists.

Tonight it needs to prove:

THE SCALE-UP IS ACCELERATING.

The Street is already looking beyond Q3 toward a very strong Q4, with consensus revenue expectations around the low-$16B area.

That means AMD can beat tonight's quarter and STILL fall.

Sound familiar?

Exactly.

🚨 AMD'S REAL NUMBER TONIGHT IS GUIDANCE

If AMD reports around $13B and slightly beats EPS?

Fine.

But if management gives a Q4 outlook that suggests AI revenue is accelerating?

That changes the story.

Then yesterday's 7.5% drop starts looking much more interesting.

But if Q4 guidance disappoints?

The market may conclude:

THE AI ORDERS ARE REAL, BUT THE REVENUE CONVERSION IS TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED.

And this market has become much less patient.

📍 MY AMD MAP

Around:

$465-$470

🟡 CRITICAL SUPPORT ZONE

This is where buyers need to defend the recent washout.

If earnings are good and AMD quickly recaptures:

$500-$505

I become much more interested.

Above that:

$523-$525

becomes my next confirmation zone.

If AMD gets strong guidance AND clears that region on volume?

Then the market may start treating this week's fall as:

A SHAKEOUT

rather than:

A TREND BREAK.

But if earnings disappoint and:

$465 FAILS

I do not catch the knife simply because AMD used to trade much higher.

I want the reason first.

🔮 MY AMD SETUP

🟢 BULL CASE: 30%

Strong AI revenue.

Strong data center growth.

Strong Q4 guide.

Buyers reclaim $500 quickly.

Then:

$523-$550

comes back into play.

🟡 BASE CASE: 50%

AMD beats but guidance is merely good.

The stock whipsaws between roughly:

$465-$520

while the market digests valuation.

🔴 BEAR CASE: 20%

Data center or guidance misses the elevated bar.

$465 fails.

Then I wait for a new base rather than automatically averaging.

🔥 SMCI: TONIGHT'S NUMBERS ARE ALMOST NOT THE POINT

This one is fascinating.

Super Micro reports after the bell tonight too.

Stock:

$30.44

after falling:

7.62%.

Pre-market:

$31.19.

But here's the twist.

SMCI has already told us a huge part of tonight's result.

On October 20, management said Q1 FY2027 revenue was expected to land between:

$18.5B-$19.5B.

Previous guidance?

$14.5B-$15.5B.

That is not a small increase.

And gross margin?

New estimate:

12.0%-12.5%.

Previous guidance:

10.4%-10.8%.

So if someone buys SMCI tonight because:

“THEY MIGHT BEAT REVENUE!”

they are missing the point.

We already know revenue is going to be huge.

THE BEAT HAS BEEN TELEGRAPHED.

That means tonight's question becomes:

WHAT COMES NEXT?

🧠 THE NUMBER I CARE ABOUT FOR SMCI IS NOT SALES

It's:

MARGIN + GUIDANCE.

AI server demand is clearly there.

The preliminary numbers already proved that.

But investors need to know whether this growth is:

profitable

repeatable

cash-generative

sustainable into the next quarters.

Super Micro produced $11.1B of revenue in the previous quarter, and entered fiscal 2027 with a record backlog after reporting more than $60B of new orders during fiscal 2026.

Now it is potentially moving toward almost:

$19B IN A SINGLE QUARTER.

That is extraordinary scaling.

But rapid scaling creates another question:

HOW MUCH PROFIT DOES EACH ADDITIONAL DOLLAR OF SERVER REVENUE ACTUALLY CREATE?

That is why gross margin matters so much.

A server company can grow incredibly quickly while still disappointing investors if competitive pricing, customer concentration or product mix compresses economics.

📍 MY SMCI MAP

The first level is obvious:

$30.

Psychological.

Technical.

And very close to the recent low.

Hold $30 after earnings?

I watch for:

$33-$33.50

then:

$36.

But if SMCI loses $30 convincingly despite that enormous preliminary revenue number?

I pay attention.

Because then the market is telling us:

IT DOESN'T TRUST THE QUALITY OR DURABILITY OF THE GROWTH YET.

For me, that signal matters more than another impressive headline sales number.

🔵 AND THIS IS WHY I AM WATCHING MICRON AT THE SAME TIME

MU isn't reporting tonight.

But I actually think it could be one of the most useful stocks on the screen.

Micron closed around:

$833.59

after falling:

5.78%.

Pre-market?

Around:

$860.60.

Why am I watching MU when AMD and SMCI are reporting?

Because I want:

THE READ-THROUGH.

Micron has already reported staggering demand from the memory side of AI infrastructure.

Its latest fiscal quarter produced:

$54.23B REVENUE

with operating cash flow of:

$43.97B.

Management said AI-driven demand positioned the company for an even stronger fiscal 2027, while HBM4 was already in high-volume shipments for its lead customer's platform.

So tonight AMD and SMCI effectively help answer:

IS AI INFRASTRUCTURE DEMAND STILL ACCELERATING?

If both companies sound strong?

That supports:

AMD

SMCI

but also:

MU.

If both companies warn about deployment timing or slowing customer spending?

Then I expect the market to question the entire:

AI PICKS-AND-SHOVELS TRADE.

That's why MU is my:

SHADOW TICKER TONIGHT.

I don't need Micron to report earnings.

I need to watch how Micron reacts to everybody else's.

📍 MY MU MAP

Around:

$830-$835

is the first zone I want defended.

Then:

$860

is the immediate pivot.

If AI sentiment improves and MU can reclaim:

$890

I watch:

$905-$910.

But if AMD and SMCI disappoint and MU loses the recent low?

I become much more patient.

Because even an outstanding company can fall hard when an entire theme starts compressing.

🔥 THEN TOMORROW MORNING COMES MY MOST INTERESTING SPECULATIVE EARNINGS: CRCL

Circle reports Q3 earnings tomorrow:

4 NOVEMBER

at:

8:00 A.M. ET.

CRCL is around:

$72.08

with pre-market around:

$72.79.

And Circle has a completely different problem from AMD.

AMD needs to prove:

AI DEMAND → REVENUE.

Circle needs to prove:

USDC ADOPTION → DURABLE ECONOMICS.

That distinction matters.

Last quarter:

USDC circulation reached:

$73.3B

Up:

19% YoY.

Onchain transaction volume:

+151%.

Excellent.

But total revenue and reserve income came in around:

$701.3M

Up only:

7%.

And reserve yield dropped:

66 BASIS POINTS

to approximately:

3.5%.

THIS is the CRCL contradiction.

USDC CAN GROW

while:

RESERVE YIELD FALLS.

So Circle needs circulation growth to outrun the headwind from lower interest rates.

That is the number I care about tomorrow.

🧠 CRCL'S NEXT PHASE CANNOT JUST BE “MORE INTEREST INCOME”

This is why the developments since the last earnings report matter.

Circle launched:

ARC MAINNET.

It expanded partnerships across enterprise payments.

It acquired Tazapay.

And Binance made a:

$100M STRATEGIC INVESTMENT

while signing a new:

FIVE-YEAR COMMERCIAL AGREEMENT

to expand USDC distribution, particularly across emerging markets.

That means tomorrow I want evidence that Circle is becoming more than:

A VERY GOOD TREASURY PORTFOLIO ATTACHED TO A STABLECOIN.

I want:

FINANCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE.

Payments.

Settlement.

Enterprise rails.

Arc.

Distribution.

Cross-border usage.

And eventually:

MORE REVENUE THAT DOESN'T DEPEND PURELY ON INTEREST RATES.

That is what could change CRCL's valuation framework.

📍 MY CRCL MAP

The immediate zone:

$71-$72

must hold.

Above:

$76-$77

I start watching for momentum.

Then comes the psychological level:

$80.

And beyond that:

$82-$83

becomes the more important breakout area.

A genuinely strong earnings report with accelerating USDC circulation, constructive guidance and evidence that Circle's ecosystem is broadening?

Then $80 can return to the conversation quickly.

But I would NOT buy simply because:

“CRCL USED TO BE MUCH HIGHER.”

The market doesn't care what I paid.

It doesn't care where the IPO mania took the stock.

It cares about:

THE NEXT CASH FLOW.

🔮 MY CRCL SCENARIOS

🟢 BULL CASE: 30%

USDC circulation accelerates.

Revenue beats.

Reserve-income pressure is offset by volume.

Management shows strong progress in Arc, payments and distribution.

CRCL reclaims $77.

Then:

$80-$83

becomes achievable.

🟡 BASE CASE: 50%

Good operational progress.

But reserve yields remain a drag.

The stock trades violently around:

$68-$80

while investors debate how much growth deserves to be capitalised.

🔴 BEAR CASE: 20%

USDC growth disappoints.

Reserve income weakens faster than expected.

Expenses rise before newer businesses monetise.

Then:

$71

fails and I wait for the market to show me where the next real support forms.

🚨 BYND: THIS IS NOT THE SAME KIND OF TRADE

Beyond Meat reports:

TOMORROW AFTER THE CLOSE.

Price:

$7.05.

And I need to separate BYND from the others.

AMD?

Fundamental growth story.

MU?

Memory supercycle.

CRCL?

Stablecoin infrastructure.

SMCI?

AI server demand.

BYND?

For me this is primarily:

A HIGH-VOLATILITY EVENT TRADE.

Because the underlying numbers are still difficult.

Last quarter:

Revenue:

$68.8M

Down:

8.2% YoY.

Gross margin:

8.5%.

Operating loss:

$30.8M.

Cash including restricted cash:

$186.1M.

Debt carrying value:

$323.8M.

And management guided Q3 revenue to only:

$60M-$65M.

So when BYND reports tomorrow, EPS is almost secondary for me.

The real questions are:

IS REVENUE STABILISING?

IS GROSS MARGIN IMPROVING?

IS CASH BURN FALLING?

and:

HOW MUCH RUNWAY DOES THE COMPANY HAVE?

A stock like BYND can explode upward even without a clean fundamental turnaround.

Short positioning.

Low expectations.

Thin liquidity.

Momentum traders.

One surprisingly good number can create:

A VIOLENT SQUEEZE.

But that does NOT automatically make it an investment thesis.

📍 MY BYND MAP

Around:

$6.75-$7.00

I want to see buyers hold.

Then:

$7.25

is the first pivot.

A clean break above:

$7.70

with real volume?

That gets interesting.

But I would treat BYND differently from AMD or MU.

I do not give a speculative balance-sheet story the same position sizing as a profitable semiconductor leader.

VOLATILITY IS NOT THE SAME THING AS OPPORTUNITY.

🔥 SO WHICH ONE DO I LIKE MOST?

If I rank the five by how I am approaching them:

🥇 AMD

My most important earnings reaction tonight.

Not because I know it will rise.

Because the data-center guide could tell us something important about the next leg of AI spending.

I prefer:

BUYING CONFIRMATION

rather than guessing the print.

🥈 MU

No earnings tonight.

That is exactly why I like watching it.

MU gives me a cleaner sympathy read of whether the market believes the AI infrastructure cycle remains intact.

If AMD and SMCI confirm demand AND MU responds strongly?

That is useful confirmation.

🥉 CRCL

Probably the most interesting asymmetric event tomorrow.

But also the one where rate sensitivity, crypto sentiment and valuation can overwhelm a superficially good quarter.

The number I care about:

CAN USDC GROW FASTER THAN RESERVE YIELD FALLS?

If yes?

My interest increases substantially.

4️⃣ SMCI

The growth is spectacular.

But the huge preliminary numbers mean tonight's headline beat is already partly known.

I care about:

MARGIN

GUIDANCE

and:

QUALITY OF GROWTH.

5️⃣ BYND

Potentially explosive.

Potentially entertaining.

Potentially very profitable for a trader who gets the setup right.

But also:

THE LOWEST-QUALITY FUNDAMENTAL SETUP OF THE FIVE.

I treat it accordingly.

🧠 THE BIGGER MARKET SIGNAL I AM WATCHING

There is another reason tonight matters.

The market is entering these earnings with:

the Nasdaq-100 already in correction territory

concern about returns on massive AI investment

U.S. midterm election uncertainty

renewed oil and geopolitical risk.

Reuters reported this morning that investors are simultaneously assessing the midterms, rising crude prices and whether huge technology spending is generating sufficient returns.

That means this is NOT a clean earnings environment.

A company can beat.

And fall.

A company can miss.

And rise.

Because what matters is not simply:

THE NUMBER.

It is:

THE NUMBER RELATIVE TO WHAT THE MARKET ALREADY FEARED OR EXPECTED.

That is why I keep saying:

TRADE THE REACTION, NOT THE HOPE.

🔮 MY GAME PLAN FOR THE NEXT 36 HOURS

I am not trying to predict five binary earnings events perfectly.

That is gambling disguised as analysis.

Instead I am watching the sequence.

Tonight:

AMD

and:

SMCI.

Do they confirm that AI infrastructure demand remains extremely strong?

Then watch:

MU.

Tomorrow morning:

CRCL.

Does USDC growth finally begin proving that Circle's network effects can outrun falling reserve yields?

Then tomorrow evening:

BYND.

Can the company show enough operating improvement to extend its runway and trigger another speculative squeeze?

Each stock is different.

But all five are being asked essentially the same question:

SHOW ME THE NEXT DOLLAR.

Where does the next dollar of revenue come from?

How profitable is it?

How repeatable is it?

How much cash does it generate?

And how much of that future has already been priced into the stock?

MY CALL

The market has changed.

Six months ago, saying:

“AI DEMAND IS HUGE.”

could be enough.

Now?

Investors increasingly want:

AI DEMAND → REVENUE → MARGIN → CASH.

For crypto infrastructure:

ADOPTION → VOLUME → REVENUE → CASH.

For turnaround stories:

PRODUCT → DEMAND → MARGIN → SURVIVAL.

That is why these earnings matter to me.

AMD needs to prove the AI ramp accelerates.

SMCI needs to prove its extraordinary revenue growth produces durable economics.

CRCL needs to prove USDC adoption can outrun rate compression.

BYND needs to prove it still has a credible path toward better economics.

And MU?

Micron gets to sit quietly on my screen and tell me:

WHETHER THE MARKET BELIEVES ANY OF THEM.

My preferred strategy?

I am not front-running all five.

I am keeping cash.

Watching volume.

Watching the first reaction.

Then watching whether that reaction:

HOLDS.

Because in this market, the first move after earnings can be emotional.

The second move often tells us what institutions actually decided.

And right now?

I WANT PROOF BEFORE I PAY FOR PROMISE.

I am not a financial advisor. Trade wisely, Comrades!
