After a losing streak for the longest length in a decade, is the respite last week a market bottoming or a bear market bounce? Thereare strategists in either camp arguing for and against, but only time will tell what the market is thinking. For me, I believe that the market will continue to be volatile at least over the next 2 months as it weighs the almost certain 50 basis points hike in interest rates by the Fed in June and July, and how well the inflation is being put under control. In the meantime, I shall continue to seek out heavily discounted counters like $OVERSEA-CHINESE BANKING CORP(O39.SI)$and dollar-cost average into them. I find OCBC the most undervalued among the local trios in Singapore banking sector, and while its dividend yield at current market price is the highest, its payout ratio is still the lowest compared with its peers, implying that the bank has much room to raise its dividend over time. I like tobe paid while I patiently await for the market recovery.@ngph@TigerEvents@TigerStars@TigerWire@MillionaireTiger

Sorry for the optimistic and positive thinkers, but this market is far from bottomed.  Quantitative Tightening haven't even started to impact stock prices. Hard landing resulting in recession?

I believe the market is ready to accept the impact of higher interest rates.

I would think the market is still uncertain for the time being too.
