库克认为，未来软件将成为汽车上的重要组成部分，自动驾驶也将变得更加重要，因此苹果将专注于自动驾驶技术的研发。另外，苹果公司在“泰坦”计划是造车还是搞自动驾驶技术之间反复横跳，不但让它浪费了入局汽车领域的最佳时机，在这两个方面一事无成，还导致了“泰坦”计划内部人员人心离散，高管频繁出走。然而，“泰坦”计划核心成员人性尽失之后，接连出走的高管给了苹果汽车致命一击。
