@Bonta
[Gosh] Times flies when we are having fun. I thought I had been in tiger for a while. If it's not for the event, I won't even realised that my first trade is in March 2022. It has only been 3 months but somehow Tiger just makes u feel welcome, engaged and feel good. It's like being with a friend instead of being just a robotic trading platform. Ah, ancient history again. My colleagues joined tiger brokers first, due to Low commissions vs traditional brokers from Singapore banks. The difference is huge. Then they like to start looking at markets at 4pm sg time, even when markets aren't open. They shares with me that tiger allows for pre-market trading. During that time, I still wasn't truly interested as I was receiving preferential transaction costs from my current share broker, and feltthat it would be a big hassle to change broker, esp since almost all of my shares are dividend stocks. I barely do any selling and onlydo DCA once salary or dividends come in. In addition, I already have an existing us options account with another broker. I dun reallywant to spread my accounts all over the place. Will make it tough to monitor. By chance, I saw an advertisement about tiger having Hong Kong options. This intrigues me on several fronts: Firstly, there's Very very few brokers in the market who allows options in Hong Kong markets. Those brokers who allow options are usually only for us options. let alone based in sg Secondly, my Hong Kong portfolio holds quite a significant chunk of my dividend portfolio. I was thinking of how to maximise it. Thirdly, there's pressure on $Alibaba(BABA)$delisting From US. And I was looking for asolution, ie convert to Hong Kong shares in the event shit happens. Imagine my happiness when I realised that tiger managed to solved all 3 of my issues. [Cool] [Cool] [Cool] After I used my colleague's recommendation, I did stock transfer into tiger with my Hongkong shares. (DUN MENTION ABT THE CURRENT STOCK TRANSFER PROMO! I AM VERY ANGST ON IT! I got nothing for my transfer, as it's only for 1st transfer. [Anger] [Anger] [Anger] [Cry] [Cry] [Cry] ) While waiting for stock transfer I sold a $BP PLC(BP)$ put, to test the option system. Worked well, and I exited for profit. With the stock transfer executed, my plan started. [Evil] With the Hong Kong Stocks transferred, my tiger account will have money (Stock value) without me pumping in anymore money besides token sumto kick start the account And get the free stocks. i managed to get a free $SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$& $Pfizer(PFE)$share from tigerfor opening account. [Onlooker] I just dun have lucky draw luck. Wonder who has gotte $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$[Helpless] Ok back to my evil plan, since there's stock value, I am allowed to have Buying power for options. So on one hand, my Hong Kong dividends stocks are rotting around and givingme dividends, yet I squeeze their stock valueto sell options. This maximises my stock value which will just remain as a normal dividend stock in conventional brokers. I took the chance to start selling $9988 options as well as CNOOC options. So far, so gd My returns From selling Hong Kong options is 11.5% since 24/3. Works out to around additional 3.8% premiums per month on top of dividend returns. This gain would not be possible without tiger brokers. With this, I am very thankful for tiger. [Bless] [Bless] [Bless] Ah, let's Talk about the community. Tiger community is surprisingly vibrant. Granted we dun see eye to eye. The few red flags are: 1. Elon musk & Tesla 2. Crypto 3. GameStop & AMC 4. Bull or bear Any of the above 4 topics will have 2 campsfighting. [Chuckle] Why do I know? For my first comment, I took a jab at AMC [Sly] during that time, Batman movie just came out, and it couldn't boost AMC earnings. Hence I commented that Batman needs more prep time to save AMC, since it's acknowledged That Batman with sufficient prep timecan solve anything. Even rescue a meme stock. [Chuckle] For my first post, I did a forecast on short term bottom formed for BABA on 16/3, as there was a rally on 15/3. Ok, I was wrong in the call... it's not a short term bottom... [Facepalm] [Facepalm] [Facepalm] Until now, it is still the "bottom of bottoms" for baba. 3 months and counting. $73.28 is the price to beat. I have great fun in the community, there's lots of hilarious comments and interesting posts that u can't find in conventional financial news. Eg. Singlish post by @surfer guy https://ttm.financial/m/post/9050008972?invite=S2ODHF&lang=en_US Whoever says that sharing has to be done inproper English and fixed style like financial reports. We can just share our ideas and information openly in tiger. [Happy] Tiger rewarding community involvement through vouchers and coins is just icing on the cake. [Happy] Speaking about vouchers... I do have to also thank tiger for the vouchers... Till date I bought 73 Barclays shares using the vouchers.... I accumulated everytime there's a voucher given. [Grin] The free us commission makes it worth while to use the stock vouchers to buy few lots and just top Up small diff to buy the shares. It brings down the average price of the shares significantly. Once Barclays reaches 100 shares, I can sellcalls on it For even more [Miser] Oops, post got too long. In conclusion, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIGER! May tiger continue to grow strength to strength. [Victory] [Victory] [Victory]
