When we ask anyone on the streets who do they know in the following list:

1. Peter lynch 

2. John templeton 

3. Benjamin graham

4. George soros 

5. Warren Buffett

Which is the name that they will know? 

Unless they are investors, I am confident that the average person won't know anyone in the list beside Warren Buffett. 

Why so? 

Warren buffett managed to reach the rank of world top 10 richest through investing.

Not just that, we have to remember that he donated significant portion of his wealth.

Imagine if he didn't donate his wealth, how much more will he be having now.

At the end of day, results count and Warren Buffett is able to show his results through Berkshire.

Is he the greatest?

If we look at wealth, yes. None of the otherscome close to his wealth. 

Did he achieve all these on his own? 

No. His investment philosophy is built on giants like Benjamin Graham.

And if we do comparison, u will be able to see similarities between his investment style and that of John Templeton and peter Lynch.

What sets Warren Buffett apart is that his investment philosophy is simple to understandeven for the layman. In addition, he gives advise freely. 

His investment philosophy sparked off a generation of value investors who start to followhis style. And personally, I do follow his investment style in terms of being contrarian and value investing. 

Truth be told, there are many investing legends that we can learn from. But if there's only 1 person that I can choose to be the greatest. That would have be Warren Buffett.
