What is web3.0? any opportunities we should focus on?
The Internet has been developing vigorously for nearly 40 years. However, with the development of consumer Internet approaching the bottleneck, the Internet has not made great commercial or technological progress in the past five years, but has been frequently caught in the negative public opinion such as data privacy and information cocoon. I think that as the next generation of the Internet, the concept of Web 3.0 structure bears our expectation of the future development of the Internet in the next twenty years, and also provides the idea of whether the Internet can be great again.
Firstly we will give web 3.0 a definition, I would spread it from 2 aspects.
The first is data rights, means who owns capitals.
But who have the rights to own capitals? Should Internet platforms get access to the core means of production, namely data, and have the right to monetize the data? The existing Internet is efficient enough, but is it fair enough?
The second is the circulation of value. I think web3.0 is a kind of Internet that can minimize the cost through information transfer. In the past, the Internet focused on the exchange and transmission of information, but the transmission of valuable assets still depended on offline third-party organizations for notarization. For example, the transfer of artworks, property rights and IP, etc.
Application of web3.0
Mark Zuckerberg announced that FACEBOOK$Meta Platforms, Inc.(FB)$ would no longer be a social media platform, but would become a "metaverse company," and FACEBOOK's parent company changed its name to Meta. Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft$Microsoft(MSFT)$ , also promoted the creation of a "meta-cosmic enterprise."
More and more investment institutions, technology leaders and industry giants are setting up metaverse, which has become a grand vision spanning countless companies and even different industries.
The focus of the Metaverse in Web 3.0 will be on the underlying protocol standards, infrastructure, and content production,
In terms of infrastructure, VR, AR and other hardware devices and computing will provide hardware access to the metaverse and basic computing capacity respectively.
In terms of protocol standards, the NFT standard, which can guarantee scarcity, uniqueness and authenticity, and the new community governance mechanism brought by blockchain technology will ensure the operation of the metauniverse world.
In content production, users will participate in the construction of the meta-universe, new editors, media, artificial intelligence will create a new content production and the accompanying economic model.
