Today's Headlines

• On Tuesday, the Redmond, Wash., software giant said its sales in the quarter ended in December hit $51.7 billion, up 20% from a year earlier. Its net income rose 21% to $18.8 billion.
• Texas Instruments Inc forecast current-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimates on Tuesday, betting on strong demand for its chips used in cars, smartphones, and laptops, sending its shares up 6% in extended trading.
• The prospect of rising interest rates has been especially hard on the Russell 2000 small-cap index, in large part because of the high proportion of small-caps that aren't making money.

• Tesla sees supply chain issues throughout 2022 after record earnings – Reuters. Tesla Inc on Wednesday expected supply chain issues to continue through this year, after posting record quarterly revenue that beat Wall Street estimates.
