We have been in a rolling recession for over a year now
$S&P 500(.SPX)$ S&P 500 YTD and since Jan 1/22 sector performances.
-In 2022, communication services and cons. disc. had the largest losses, and ended the year down close to 40%, down more than in 2008.
-Tech was down close to 30%
-So far this year it's all about financials and energy.
-However, since Jan 1/22 real estate has been the worst-performing sector.
-We have been in a rolling recession for over a year now.
