Interesting blog post now up on the C3 site on improving data science workflows at GP. GP chose to embark on a multi-year partnership with C3 among other things because C3’s solution allows GP to utilize large amounts of data from disparate sources, and deploy advanced ML techniques to improve monitoring of all assets. “One thing that really sets C3 apart from other vendors in the artificial intelligence and data science ecosystem is the ability to bring together a lot of different data sources into one platform that we can then all work from,” says GP data scientist Jun Hua.
Today, leveraging the unparalleled scalability of C3 solutions, GP has rolled out C3 Reliability to monitor over 200 assets across facilities, and plans to expand its use of C3 Reliability to monitor additional critical asset classes in the next 12 months. At the C3 user conference in Florida a few months ago, people from GP said that they were getting hundreds of millions of dollars in economic benefit from C3 technology.
This amount will increase as GP expands its use of the technology.
What’s more, several smaller investment firms filed their 13Fs today. During Q1, Mutual of America Capital Management in New York came in as a new investor in C3 with a buy of 31,000 shares. Total Clarity Wealth Management in Illinois came in as a new investor in C3 with a buy of 19,000 shares. Strategic Advisors in New York came in as a new investor in C3 with a buy of 13,000 shares.
These investors are too small to have any impact on the stock price, but the fact that large numbers of investment professionals are putting their money into C3 is significant.
