Just Read "Who Moved My Cheese" Again ! U Should !

@JC888
I have just refreshed my memory and read the book "Who Moved My Cheese" by Dr Spencer Johnson for the umpteen times over the years. I did not pick up this "self discovery" book at the time it was published on 08 Sep 1988. It was later on that I chanced upon this book at the recommendations of my boss. To paraphrase what she said to me "give this book a read, it may help in your approach to project management". For her to say something so undertone surely must mean I am missing something. And so with a piqued interest, I bought the book from Times The Bookshop (does it still exists ?). It was an easy read with only 95 pages. However the benefits that I have derived from it over and over again is immense. Each time I picked up the book and read it again, it gives me to have a fresh perspective of how to apply or motivate me at that particular point in time. Shall we begin ? Long Story Short The story took place in a maze There are 4 characters involved - 2 mice and 2 humans Mice being simple creatures do not overthink Humans on the other hand with our inherent characters, overthink The goal was to locate the cheese (of course) And so the journey begins for each of the 4 characters; each on a different path (of course !) Eventually all 4 found the cheese with consequences (and what do you know !) From then onwards, attention was focused on the 2 human characters - on their assumptions vs reality and how each react to a changing landscape Why Is This Book Relevant To Me ? I didnotuse the past tense "was" in the chapter / title because it is still relevant to me each time when I picked it up My personal life and work life have both gone thru changes as I mature (not age mind you - ha ha ha). My perspective of things have evolved too. Things that seemed so "important" in the past (my cheese) is not even worth a mention now (at each "current" point in life). However it does not mean it was not important back then - it was and I make no "regrets" about them. More importantly, it is about "20/20" vision when looking backwards isn't it Isn't this what life is all about ? Hence when I pick it up thru the passage of time, at each juncture - there's something thats more core to me that needs "resolution" or direction if I may say so. The book helps to recharge me as I probe this journey called Life. Summary I find immense "self help" and to a certain extent "self revelation" everytime I read it. Hence I don't mind sharing it with everyone here. Hope it could be useful to you as it has been for me - over the years. Importantly, read it with an opened mind and then think about whether you would like to apply it to. I did and for 2023, its going to be taking the steps to experiment with options tradings and see if its my cup of tea. What about you ? Is / Are there anything (anything in life) that you would like to give it a go this year 2023 ? Still have at least 10 more months to go right ! May this book be the guiding force that stays with you now and into the future ! Please "LIKe" this post ok. Thanks. The rating is very important to me !! @TigerEvents @TigerSG @TigerStars @CaptainTiger @MillionaireTiger @TigerPM @Daily_Discussion
