A job well done!
First and foremost, a hearty congratulations to Tigers for a job well done! It has been more than a year since I discovered Tiger brokers and the app. Honestly I was rather sceptical initially. Let me explain.
I have been using traditional brokers offered by financial institutions such as banks and conventional brokers. One word to sum them up. Very expensive and not very conducive for everyday investors and long term investing. Around 25 dollars minmum per trade? So if you want to DCA and you invest only a few hundreds, you have to pay such a high percentage whicheats into your investments from day one? Yet the big boys get preferential rates etc just because they are trading in the millions? No one really cared for the everyday investors who justwant to invest with no frills and prefers independence.
When I discovered Tiger brokers and saw the rates offered, of course I was sceptical. But I was glad I took the chance to try them out. Andsince then, I realised how greedy and not very mindful of the needs of the mass the conventional brokers and banks were. All they thought of was profit and did not realise how the world has moved on especially after social media. Tiger brokers made investing so much more affordable. That is the key word. AFFORDABLE.If any of the conventional brokers or banks are reading this, you should have realised what the mass wanted (needed in fact!) earlier. Most of us are simple. We want to be able to invest without spending a ton.
Tiger brokers made investing affordable and they even went a step further. They made it fun and even rewarding! They support a vibrant community of everyday investors sharing opinions, a reward system, games..... The list goes on. And most importantly, they treat us as equals who regularly ask for our opinions, respond to them and delivers. And they keep improving themselves. That already is a win!
So to summarise, they are well deserving of the awards received and I am very happy to be a part of the Tiger community. Kudos for a fantastic job and a heartfelt thanks for looking out for investors like us. Keep up the good work! 😊
