Again before I share my views on linked-article, briefly summary on what is Lithium ion and Solid State battery (SSB) ok ?

Lithium ion battery vs Solid state battery
What is a Solid State Battery (SSB) ?
A SSB is a battery technology that uses solid electrodes & a solid electrolyte.
In contrast, a Lithium ion battery, also uses solid electrodes but liquid or polymer gel electrolytes instead.
Advantages of SSB
- Has higher energy density; able to pack more energy per "cell" unit, as a result
- Has solid electrolyte that contributes to battery's stability
- With SSB being more stable, risk of explosion or fire is highly reduced
- By not requiring safety precaution component when producing a SSB, this frees up a lot of "spaces"; allowing SSB to be more compact in size but still packs the same punch; like a Lithium ion battery.
- A single charge enables EV to drive up to 1,000 kilometers. Thats a lot of distances covered no ?
- Could be charged 7 times more compared Li ion battery.
- Last up to 10 years compared to Li ion battery's 3 years.
Now that SSB's ins and outs are known, it is easy to see why every EV or electrical maker is racing to see who will emerge as SSB's pioneer manufacturer.
Early bird catches the worm no ? LOL !
Look no further, WeLion will be SSB manufacturer.
How cool is it to be the first commercially "successful" SSB maker ?
Word "successful" is in quotes because until SSB rolls off the production line, its still hearsay no ?
Even mr musk who likes to paint visions and sell dreams hasn't succeeded to deliver on its SSB thats have supposedly been delayed (again). Perhaps he will queue to buy from WeLion ?
Think the important lession to draw from this episode is that mr musk is not infallible.
If an investor pins a lot of hopes on him, is that a risk itself ?
Could it be akin to pinning hopes on cryptocurrency ? Just saying.
Coming back to NIO, it will be another icing on the cake when the day arrives that one of its model fleet of EV is fitted with a SSB. It will be a historical milestone in NIO's EV history.
One to be remembered and celebrated because its not all talk and no action again.
To postulate further, when SSB becomes the defacto standards for all "Baas" (battery as a service) subscribers - NIO EV owners do not have to pay a lump sum for this advanced technology; perhaps a slight increment in subscription. Isn't this a swell prospect ?
Haven't even touched on NIO's share price. Will it zoom then ?
