Micheal Burry cryptic tweets over the weekends has gotten me excited
If you have watched the movie 'the big short' the name Micheal Burry won't be unfamiliar. He rose to fame when he correctly predicted the 2008 US housing crash, investors in his funds made over $700 million and $100 million himself personally during the crash.
He occasionally share his thoughts and opinions on Twitter but albeit in a cryptic way and is anyone's guess on what he's trying to convey. He also has an habit of deleting his tweet in a very short time after he tweeted and is know to close his Twitter account and dissappear for a period of time
What caught me is his 3 tweets over the past weekend that got me excited about China Stocks.
The first tweet
He tweeted that he is not short presumably the market which is somewhat rare give that he is famous for identifying bubbles.
This tweet is interesting, it give me the hint that he is trying to say that he might be still shorting but probably closing his hedge soon. It's anyone guess until his fund release their position in the next reporting.
This is quite direct, with news about China opening up has given the Hong Kong stock exchange a well needed boost with Hang Seng index roaring over 3% in the opening today
Still we should take his tweets with a pinch of salt and stick to our investment strategy and course.
