US market on 06 Dec (Tue). Tsla falls further ? CVX, OXY, LNG - what about oil ?
@JC888:Quite certain that last Fri (02 Dec) sentiments have filtered thru into ytd's (05 Dec) trading. All 3 indexes opened on a "high" that quickly dissipated mere minutes into trading. Throughout the day, its sideway trading in downwards trending movement. By the time market closed : Mkt perf 05 Dec / Pre-mkt indicators 06 Dec Summary : DJIA : -1.48% (-482.78 to 33,947.10). S&P 500 : -1.79% (-72.86 to 3,998.84) Nasdaq : -1.93% (-221.56 to 11,239.94). Weakest performer of the day ! Gains since last Wed all gone, almost ! Literally, gains from last Wed's trading (30 Nov) have all evaporated into thin air, just like that. Is it time to get back to the drawing board again to plan & re-strategize ? What do you think ? Or is now the most "optimum" time to look for bargains as a long-term investor ? On the ground, sentiments are that both Wall Street & Funds houses will be taking to more statistical reports that will be coming out progressively this week - for signs & directions. It is for cetain that the Fed will be reading into these reports (and many more ...) as well, during their Blackout week; away from the media in preparation for their last convening meeting on 13 & 14 Dec 2022. Will the Fed change its mind and go for a last 0.75% hike instead of the socialized 0.5%, with the latest Non-Farm payroll report out last week ? This seems to be at the top of everyone's mind as well. Honestly this might just be what the doctor has ordered so as to start year 2023 on a "refreshed" slate no ? Afterall all suppporting data seems to suggest that the US economy might just be able to withstand the interest hike policy, up until now ? Tesla on 05 Dec 2022 As for Tesla $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ , its -6.37% fall contributed to Nasdaq's downwards spiral; not so much Apple $Apple(AAPL)$ for ytd's trading. While there has been deny (unvalidated truth?) that its "best performance" giga factory in Shanghai is not reducing EV output; a look at Tesla's moving averages for 200-days, 50-days, 20-days and 5 days are all "above" its current price. Doesn't look good. It certainly does not help too that mr musk continues his socially-destablizing tweet that is getting more and more polarizing & alienating. Could this be the reason why some supporters are bailing while still ahead ? Wonder will it lead to eventual shutdown of Twitter ? I am still out looking for a bargain (if any) in the Energy stocks sector. Believed that potentials are there : $Occidental(OXY)$ $Chevron(CVX)$ - take over operational control of a key Venezuelan oil-processing facility. Good sign, no ? $Cheniere(LNG)$ - waiting for the spill over effect from Oil price increase. Any stock/s that you are looking at this week ? Wanna share in below Comments section ? Thanks. Please "Like" this post, ok ? Thanks in advance. The rating is important and a motivation. Thanks thanks. @Daily_Discussion @TigerStars @CaptainTiger @MillionaireTiger @Tiger_SG @TigerPM
