Inflation seems to be cooling off but…

With inflation seen to be cooling off, the Fed maybe softer in the rate hikes from 75bps to 50bps in the upcoming fed meeting. But they would not deviate away from their goal of 2%.

How does this affect Asian markets?

Firstly, for banks, they would have increasing NIMwhich will result in higher profit margins each quarter that they report their earnings.

Secondly, for properties, with inflation it means that rental would increase over time and furthermore in strong economies, property prices are seen to be headed higher and higher into the future due to land scarcity.

Thirdly, with inflation everything would be more expensive overtime, and the only way to fight inflation is NOT to put your money in the bank fixed deposit, NOT to save your money in banks but to invest in the markets.

One example of your money being beaten by inflation (7% a year) with value of $1 million

Year 1: $1 million

Year 10: $500,000

Year 15: $360,000

Year 20: $250,000

As legendary investor, Warren Buffett said "If youdon't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die".

The best time to start investing was yesterday, the next best time is now!
