⭐️(D_D50) 9 November 2022 Wednesday What happens to the stock market[USD] [USD] [USD]  in case of a tie in the 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸U.S. 🦅🦅🦅Senate and the 🏛🏛🏛House of Representatives? As polls closed across the 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸U.S. on Tuesday night🌛🌛🌛, some officials are counting the ballots way past midnight. Even with that, the midterm results could come later than usual, particularly in swing states with competitive races. The officials advised all to brace for uncertainty. We might not know the outcome of key contests by the end of election night -- or even election week. 

As at this minute, 🐘🐘🐘Republicans have won 198 seats in the 🏛🏛🏛House of Representatives, twenty seats more than Democrats. The two political parties tie for the 🦅🦅🦅Senate. There is no clear lead for 🐘🐘🐘🐘Republicans now. 

The odds of there being a tie in Congress are slim, but it is not out of the realm of the possibility. The 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸U.S. system of elections, while some states have runoffs in the event that no one candidate secure over 50% of the vote, is a winner- take-all in most races for public office by securing a simple majority of the vote. The same goes for decidingon legislation and presidential appointments. The party with the most members in the lower chamber decides who the Speaker of the House🏛🏛🏛 will be every two years, and the same goes in the upper chamber to elect the 🦅🦅🦅Senate Majority Leader. The 🦅🦅🦅Senate however is comprised of 100 members, two from each of the 50 states, opening the door to the possibility of a tie. But the party that controls the 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸White House, in the even of the tie as said, gets the final say with the Vice President, as President of the Senate, casting the deciding vote.

Should 🐘🐘🐘Republicans squeak out a majority in Congress, that will mean more investigations of Biden's Administration and his family. But a muted performance by 🐘🐘🐘Republicans could bolster Biden's case for running for re-election, and back up his pitch that he had already proven to be the best hope for Democrats to beat a potential Donald Trump candidacy for a second time. 

The [USD] [USD] [USD] Futures market now shows all three most important indexes in red -- signaling a 🐻🐻🐻bearish market ahead for today. 🍀$S&P 500(.PX)$ is down 0.35% at the Futures. The 🍀$Nasdaq(.IXIC)$ is -0.33%. The 🍀$Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJi)$ slid -0.36%. 

Perhaps such weak stock market performance reflects the market's wariness about the political uncertainty. It may also due to the poor earnings reports from the companies . Over the long term, corporate  earnings growth and stock prices have a direct relationship, as advised by analysts from Goldman Sachs. 

One exception may be $Digital World Acquisition Corp(DWAC)$ which is directly linked to Donald Trump. Analysts forecast a long term increase in share price for DWAC. It is now USD$32.64. It went up[Call] [Call] [Call] [Call]  66% on Monday upon news that Donald Trump is preparing to announce his plan to run for the President of the 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸U.S.
