Looking at it a day later I think it’s a good pricing structure, it’s aimed at games with in-app payments that make the most money these days. Subscription services will need to pay the tap via an enterprise deal to cover all the apps in the portfolio. It seems that it’s is made specifically to work with Apple’s gaming service and others. That is if Unity, Apple, MS and Meta can work out a deal. So at the moment it’s a PR disaster but it should work out in the end, if the big deals are going to be made and that has to be seen. Devs can opt to use the Unity Add market and not pay the fee, it seems to be another thing Unity is after. The free accounts did get an upgrade and free games keep being free, they got better off. It really is aimed at the in-app payment games. This will take time to

Unity will start charging 0.20 for each download, many developers have already come out to complain about this news, some others also decided to eliminate their games made with that engine, for example Cult of the Lamb and others, this is the beginning of the decline of this company now the developers will move on to other graphics engines, Unreal Engine, Godot Engine, if the company does not retract its decision it will go bankrupt I'm out. $Unity Software Inc.(U)$
